Adath Israel Congregation is an inclusive and inviting home for all. The Adath is an egalitarian Conservative congregation committed to Jewish values, family, community and inclusiveness. The Adath Family prides itself in bringing generations together to experience the beauty and warmth of traditional Conservative Judaism and contemporary Conservative ritual. Through 2023-2024, Adath Israel will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Special events have begun with our Mosaic program which engages the community by focusing on the arts and culture. Recently, the acclaimed 613 Acapella group filled the house, including a new and original piece to celebrate our 100th year. Guided by our spiritual leaders, Rabbi Benjamin Adler, and Hazzan Arthur Katlin, Adath Israel provides a full spectrum of Jewish experience, including our religious school, adult learning programs, Tikkun Olam initiatives, dynamic Women’s League, Brotherhood and United Synagogue Youth (USY) organizations.
Snipes Farm and Education Center
Snipes Farm and Education Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization on a mission to use Snipes Farm for its highest purpose: to grow local, fresh food, and to teach people about sustainable farming, the power of nature and whole food. Members pick up veggie and egg shares from June-November through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. We are a year-round education center providing nutrition, farm and garden lessons to schools, and use the farm as a campus for hands-on learning. Field trips, summer camp and birthday parties connect many children to the farm. The generosity of foundations, individuals and businesses make it possible for us to provide fresh produce to families in need, camp scholarships to local children and education programs to low-income schools.
