Since 1991, the Robinowitz Education Center team has provided expert knowledge in special education and Structured Literacy to improve educational outcomes and quality of life for individuals with dyslexia, dyscalculia, developmental language disorder, and dysgraphia. Located on the Newgrange and Laurel Schools campus in Pennington, NJ, our team includes math instructors fully trained by Marilyn Zecher, author and founder of the Orton-Gillingham approach to Math instruction. We are a Wilson Accredited Partner and a designated Wilson Best Practice Site, ensuring our certified instructors deliver OG/Wilson instruction with fidelity and have up-to-date Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and Dyslexia Therapist credentials. We are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association and are proud members of IDA. Call 609-688-1280 or visit our website for more information about our services and OG Math Camps this summer.
Conveniently located in the Village of Newtown, the Newtown Bookshop offers a great selection of books for all ages, unique gifts and greeting cards and a staff that helps you find that perfect book! Monthly, we have two book discussion groups, a poetry group, and a cookbook club. Every Thursday, we offer a story time at 10:15am. In the summer we have a 6-week Children's Summer Reading Program and a "Where's Waldo Scavenger Hunt through Newtown". We continue to strive to bring great authors like Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver, Elin Hilderbrand and Chris Grabenstein to our community and schools.
We are open Mon–Sat 10am – 8pm, Sun 12-4pm. Please see our website for detailed information on upcoming events.
Snipes Farm and Education Center
Snipes Farm and Education Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization on a mission to use Snipes Farm for its highest purpose: to grow local, fresh food, and to teach people about sustainable farming, the power of nature and whole food. Members pick up veggie and egg shares from June-November through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. We are a year-round education center providing nutrition, farm and garden lessons to schools, and use the farm as a campus for hands-on learning. Field trips, summer camp and birthday parties connect many children to the farm. The generosity of foundations, individuals and businesses make it possible for us to provide fresh produce to families in need, camp scholarships to local children and education programs to low-income schools.
