"Reelin' in the Fun!" Fishing, Nature & Outdoor Discovery Day

Rep. Tim Brennan will host "Reelin' in the Fun!" Fishing, Nature & Outdoor Discovery Day on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at Washington Crossing Historic Park's Thompson-Neely Pavilion. The free community event will bring families together for hands-on outdoor education focused on fishing, environmental stewardship, recreation, and local history. Partner agencies including the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Department of Environmental Protection will provide educational activities and demonstrations. Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic fishing skills such as casting, knot tying, baiting hooks, fish identification, and fishing etiquette. The event will also feature environmental education about the Delaware Canal and surrounding natural resources, along with opportunities to learn more about Washington Crossing Historic Park's history and outdoor recreation traditions.

Annual Plant Sale, Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County

The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Bucks County will hold their annual plant sale on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until sold out) at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Road, Newtown. This is the plant sale Bucks County gardeners in the know wait for all year. The sale will feature a wide selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, native plants, deer-resistant plants, container plants, and hanging baskets for Mother's Day. More than 80 Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions. Proceeds support community gardening education programs, demonstration gardens, and donations of fresh produce to local food pantries. The event will be held rain or shine. Shoppers are encouraged to bring wagons or carts. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted. No dogs allowed. For information call (267) 483-2020.

2 and 7:30 ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) is thrilled to bring the enchanting world of Arendelle to life with their upcoming production of Disney's Frozen: The Broadway Musical. Featuring a double cast of talented young performers, the production will take the stage at Voorhees High School in Lebanon Township for two weekends, May 2–10, 2026. Based on the 2013 Academy Award-winning animated film, the Broadway musical expands upon the emotional relationship between sisters Elsa and Anna. When Elsa's hidden powers are accidentally revealed, plunging the kingdom into an eternal winter, Anna sets out on a journey to save her sister and their home. The show features beloved songs from the film alongside new music written specifically for the stage.
