Annual Plant Sale, Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County

The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Bucks County will hold their annual plant sale on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until sold out) at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Road, Newtown. This is the plant sale Bucks County gardeners in the know wait for all year. The sale will feature a wide selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, native plants, deer-resistant plants, container plants, and hanging baskets for Mother's Day. More than 80 Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions. Proceeds support community gardening education programs, demonstration gardens, and donations of fresh produce to local food pantries. The event will be held rain or shine. Shoppers are encouraged to bring wagons or carts. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted. No dogs allowed. For information call (267) 483-2020.

Annual Wildflower Sale Weekend, Churchville Nature Center

Join us for the kickoff of our sale of beautiful, native perennials and stellar annuals! This year's kickoff weekends will be Saturday and Sunday, April 25th & 26th, and May 2nd & 3rd. The sale takes place from 10 AM - 5 PM. During the first two weekends of the sale, staff and volunteers will be on hand to help select the perfect plants for your garden. Check back in April for a list of plant species that will be available.

Kentucky Derby & Garden Party, Andalusia

You’ll enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and our internationally recognized gardens, then gather to watch “The Run for the Roses.” Andalusia is the best place to watch the Kentucky Derby in the Philadelphia area. All proceeds of the Garden Party benefit Andalusia’s efforts to preserve, interpret, and make accessible the gardens and buildings of this treasured National Historic Landmark.
