Butterfly Festival @The Watershed Institute

Join us at our annual Watershed Butterfly Festival – a celebration of family fun to share the joys and wonders of nature. The event will feature tours of the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House and the Insect Zoo. Enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the day, including animal shows featuring Eyes of the Wild. Young children will delight in being a part of the famous “Butterfly and Bug Parade” led by Lady Monarch, Ms. Allison. Adults and older children can learn about watersheds and the need to protect our rivers, lakes and streams through educational hands-on exhibits. Food and drink will be available for sale. Anthropalooza, Churchville Nature Center

Visit Churchville Nature Center on August 1 and 2 for all things insects, spiders, and crustaceans. Expect a variety of activities and exhibits in the gardens, on the patio, and in the Butterfly House, including arthropod displays, a honeybee meet and greet, and bug crafts Admission Tickets are free for members and $8 for non-members.

Learn about uniforms, equipment, and daily life of soldiers through the centuries.
