Styrofoam and Recycle Event, Lower Makefield Township

Location: Lower Makefield Township Administrative building, 1100 Edgewood Road, Yardley Items accepted: clean white Styrofoam for shipping ( no food packaging and packing peanuts), natural corks (no synthetics), clean pill bottles with tops ( remove labels, glue and wash), batteries , all portable types accepted, alkaline, lithium, button, lead-acid but no large car/boat/sump pump batteries.

Nature Crochet Series Class 1, Silver Lake Nature Center

This is the first in a series of Nature Crochet classes. This first class is designed for complete beginners. We will learn how to make a slip knot, chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. Then we will create beautiful vines with leaves. Materials are provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own supplies if desired. If you already know how to crochet, you are still more than welcome to attend this class for a refresh and join in our vine project! This class is designed for adults and children 8+. Pre-registration is required. Price is $15/Person or $10/Person for Members of the Friends of SLNC.
