“Let’s Draw George” Kids’ Art Contest at WCHP! We are inviting children ages 12 and under to create their own artistic take on George Washington, whether that’s a famous moment from history or a brand-new portrait worthy of an art gallery. Get creative and show us your best version of our first president! Our park staff will judge all entries. Families can submit drawings during Washington’s Birthday Celebration on Sunday, February 15, or mail them to the park in advance if they cannot attend in person. Please include the child’s name, age, address, and phone number on the back of the artwork so we can contact winners. Artwork should be two-dimensional and suitable for display in the Visitor Center.

The new and impressive state-of-the-art 28,000 sq ft Center for Advanced Technologies (CAT), at Bucks County Community College's Epstein Campus in Bristol, was designed to develop the skilled workforce necessary for continued economic growth in our region. Student Musicians are Eligible for the Caprio Competition 2026 sponsored by the Riverside Symphonia. The 2026 Caprio Young Artists Competition is open to classical instrumentalists (excluding keyboard), who reside or study in New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania and will be no older than 22 years of age on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Join Head Gardener Bill Fuchs and Senior Horticulturist Stephanie Harold as they guide you through a Valentine’s Day-themed wreath making class. This one-hour class will allow you to design your very own heart-shaped wreath made from succulents. A dynamic monthly documentary film series hosted by Peter LeDonne and produced in partnership with Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Chuck Braverman, creator of the acclaimed WESTDOC platform. 2/21 - Lecture: "Nobody Men: Neutrality, Loyalties, and Family in the American Revolution", 1:30-3pm.
WCHP is pleased to partner with the David Center for the American Revolution at the American Philosophical Society to present a lecture by historian Travis Glasson on his new book, Nobody Men: Neutrality, Loyalties, and Family in the American Revolution (Yale University Press, 2025). While the American Revolution is often framed as a conflict between Patriots and Loyalists, nearly one-third of the colonial population remained neutral. In this lecture, Glasson examines the experiences of the Cruger family, a transatlantic merchant family who sought survival and stability over political allegiance. Their story illuminates the difficult choices faced by those who lived “in the middle” of a violent civil war and offers new insight into how revolutionary societies were shaped.

2/22 - Disney Hits Live with The Little Mermen @Newtown Theatre, 3-5pm., The Little Mermen is the ultimate Disney cover band for Disney fanatics of all ages. 2/24 - Navigating College Admissions for Students with Learning Differences, Lawrence Branch, 6:30pm
This seminar is designed for all high school students and their parents, with an emphasis on students who have current 504 plans or IEPs. The seminar explores how learning differences are supported at the college level, including an overview of the tiers of academic and disability support offered across institutions. Families will learn how and when to communicate with colleges during the application process, how to prepare strategically for admissions, and how to identify colleges that are the best academic and personal fit. The seminar also provides guidance on navigating the application process with confidence, empowering students to make informed, self-advocating choices about their college journey. 2/28 - Maple Harvesting Day, Washington Crossing State Park, 11-2pm. Join us for a fun and educational winter tradition celebrating trees, local history, and one of nature’s sweetest gifts—maple syrup! On Saturday, February 28, 2026, we invite visitors of all ages to spend the day in the Park’s “sugar bush,” learning how maple syrup has been made in Bucks County for generations. This family-friendly, outdoor program takes place at the General Greene Pavilion and offers a unique way to experience the park during the winter season.Throughout the day, guests can enjoy hands-on demonstrations of traditional maple sugaring, from identifying maple trees and collecting sap to boiling and finishing syrup. Park educators will guide visitors through each step of the process, sharing the science and history behind maple syrup production. Visitors can also take part in daily sap collection and enjoy hot, fresh pancakes topped with the park’s own maple syrup, served from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, while supplies last.
