Center School’s Annual Golf Outing June 9
Registration is now open for our highly anticipated annual golf outing, which will be held at the prestigious North Hills Country Club (NHCC) in Glenside, PA on June 9, 2025. This will be our 5th Annual Golf Outing at NHCC. Your support can make this milestone year the best ever. This event promises a fantastic day of golf, friendly competition, and networking opportunities for participants of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just looking to enjoy a fun day on the course, this is the perfect chance to gather with colleagues, friends, and fellow enthusiasts.

Doylestown welcomes the return of their Pride Festival on June 14 - 28th, 2025. With the goal of celebrating diverse sexual orientations and gender identities in the Doylestown community, a collection of local organizations and businesses came together to create this local tradition. The multi-day event will feature a series of Film Screenings, Drag Brunch, Pride Block Party, Music Day, and various pop-up events and celebrations throughout the community. A Night to Nourish – June 14 @Snipes Farm, 5:30-8:30pm., Interfaith Food Alliance, Pennsbury Kids, and Snipes Farm and Education Center are co-hosting a fundraiser supporting hunger relief efforts in Lower Bucks County. Bring your own dinner, beverages, plates, napkins, and utensils to dine under the stars! The outdoor evening will feature live music from the Do-Gooders in the big red barn, setting the perfect mood for some dancing. 6/6 - New Hope Summer Series - Block Party, Fireworks and Drone Show. The "spectacular fireworks and synchronized drone show" is set to begin around 9:10 p.m., but the celebration starts early with a block party beginning at 5 p.m. on Stockton Avenue between Bridge and Ferry streets. Expect a mix of returning favorites and new vendors, plus local artists, live entertainment, and all the small-town magic New Hope has to offer.

6/6 - Firefly Campfire, Churchville Nature Center, 8-10pm. Ever wonder how and why fireflies glow? Search the meadow and trails for these bioluminescent insects on a guided hike with our educators, followed by toasted marshmallows around the campfire. If we are lucky, we might even find glowworms. 6/10 - An Evening with Rick Atkinson:The Fate of the Day, 7-9pm., Acclaimed author Rick Atkinson, Pulitzer Prize winner, and author of, The British Are Coming and The Liberation Trilogy, is returning to Washington Crossing Historic Park to discuss the 2nd entry in his ongoing Revolution Trilogy, *The Fate of the Day*. Atkinson’s newest work picks up the history of the Revolution where he left off, and covers the years of 1777-1780, where the Continental army went through some of its toughest challenges. This Lecture will take place on June 10th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. It will feature a lecture by Rick Atkinson on his new book, as well as time for him to sign purchased books. Tickets are $40 to attend, $65 to attend and get a copy of the book, and $90 for two attendees and one copy of the book. Tickets can be purchased here, they will not be sold “at the door”.

LEV27 invites the community to come together at Newtown Brewing Compny, 103 Penns Trail in Newtown, for an evening of fun and fundraising at a standout venue while promoting safe and secure homes for those in need. 6/22 – Beppe Gambetta in Concert, Frenchtown Bookstore, 7pm., The Sunday Music Club welcomes charming Italian-born, Americana-loving guitar virtuso and singer Beppe Gambetta. Growing up in Genoa, Italy, Beppe Gambetta fell in love with American Roots music and taught himself to play guitar by listening to the great players of Kentucky bluegrass including Doc Watson and Tony Rice. Since the 1990's, he has crossed the globe, performing his traditional and original songs, which combine Appalachian roots, Italian influences, and "effervescent passion" (Bluegrass Unlimited). He now resides in Stockton, NJ.

6/26 – Flower Pressing Workshop, Friends of Washington Crossing Park, 10-12pm., Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the timeless art of flower pressing and create beautiful keepsakes from nature! Led by park horticulturist Anna Davis, you’ll explore various pressing techniques and assemble your own flower press to take home—so you can continue the craft long after the workshop ends. Discover creative ways to use your pressed flowers, and create one stunning piece of botanical framed art and one bookmark using pre-pressed flowers and vintage paper. In the final hour, we’ll venture into our enchanting 18th-century kitchen garden, where you’ll handpick 2–3 blooms to press. All proceeds from Garden Days support the Historical Garden Program through the nonprofit Friends of Washington Crossing.

6/26 - 5th Annual “Reel” Garden Party, Newtown Theatre Benefit The 5th annual “Reel” Garden Party in support of the historic Newtown Theatre will return on Thursday, June 26 at the home of Ed McLaughlin and Tara Grunde-McLaughlin in Newtown Borough (125 North Chancellor Street). This popular outdoor cocktail party starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres and music. The cost of the party is $80 per person and only 100 tickets will be sold. 6/27 - Farmstead Fridays Program, Washington Crossing Historic Park, 11-3pm. Our Farmstead Fridays programs, which will take place the 4th Friday of each month, will feature demonstrations on civilian life during the Revolution.
