Celebrate Mother's Day Weekend Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11 at American Repertory Ballet’s PASIÓN, a joyful program at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center with Spanish, Mexican, and Cuban choreographic ties. Featured choreography includes Paquita, an iconic classical ballet set in Spain, The Time That Runs Away by Stephanie Martinez, danced to popular songs from the 50's and 60's, and a dynamic world premiere with live music by Cuban choreographer Luis Napoles. The KidsCamp summer camp program of KidsCare of Pennsbury offers a wide variety of fun, safe, and educational activities for children (entering Grades K-8)! Join us for our 2025 season from June 23 – August 15. The camp is at Afton Elementary School, near the center of Yardley.

Each child will participate in sports, games, crafts, etc. We also have many field trips (some free, some for a fee).

“The Apple Boys” @Bucks County Playhouse May 2 - 25

OOPS! The Mill's Comedy Cabaret May 14 - 17
Make your plans now for a fun night to see the ever-popular Cabaret at the Mill. This year, our show, “OOPS!,” is sure to make your face hurt and leave you gasping for air—but come anyway! This year, immerse yourself in the past with Washington Crossing Historic Park's Monthly Living History Programs, running from April through September 2025. Whether you're fascinated by the lives of Revolutionary War soldiers or curious about daily chores on an 18th-century farm, these free, interactive programs offer something for everyone! 5/2 – Books ‘N Brew, Bucks County Book Festival, 6-9pm., Join us on Friday May 2nd, from 6-9pm, for an evening of literary fun unlike anything you’ve ever experienced- a reverse bar crawl featuring a rotation of amazing groups of authors in conversation. Your $20 ticket gets you entry to one of three venues in Doylestown Borough, all within a block of each other (Artifact Brewing, The Hattery Stove and Still, and Hops/Scotch), as well as a $5 off coupon, to go towards a book of your choice to purchase at the event. You stay at the same location with one moderator, while the authors rotate between the three venues, delighting the audience with their conversation. Each author group will spend about 45 minutes at each venue, and their books will be available for purchase between sessions.

5/3 - Master Gardener Plant Sale
Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9AM to 1PM at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds located at 576 Penns Park Road in Newtown, PA 18940. This highly anticipated sale will include donated plants from Master Gardeners, unusual perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs, pollinator and butterfly plants, native plants, houseplants, shade plants, deer-resistant plants, container plants, and a beautiful selection of hanging baskets for Mother’s Day.

5/3 & 5/4 - Kite Day, Terhune Orchards, 10-5pm
Bring your own kite or choose a ready-made kite from the wide selection in the store. Or better yet, make your own “guaranteed to fly” kite. Whichever you choose, test fly your kite in our wide-open 10-acre pasture with all the farm animals looking on. The farm will ring with country music and entertainment all weekend. The sheep will be shorn on Sunday and children can take home a piece of real fleece. On Saturday, the Princeton Morris Dancers will perform traditional May Day dances. 5/3 - Washington Crossing Brewfest 2025, 12:30-4:30pm., Attend the first, and best, beer festival of the season in Bucks County, PA! Taking place at Washington Crossing Historic Park for its 14th year, Brewfest is on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12:30 to 4:30 PM. The event features sampling of beers from local, regional, and national breweries as well as live music, mouthwatering food vendors, and a beautiful, wooded setting overlooking the Delaware River (behind the Thompson-Neely House). This is a volunteer run event, and all proceeds help the non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Park educate the public, promote the historic events that took place in Bucks County in 1776, and preserve the park’s colonial-era buildings and artifacts for future generations.

5/4 – Special Reopening, Ferry Market, 11-3pm., Ferry Market, located at 32 S. Main Street in the heart of New Hope, is celebrating the revitalization of its vibrant, community-driven space with a special reopening preview on Sunday, May 4, from 11 AM to 3 PM. 5/17 – Pride Parade 2025, New Hope Celebrates, 11am., The Annual Pride Parade, the signature event of New Hope Celebrates PrideFest will kick off in Lambertville, NJ before marching into New Hope on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. Our parade and fair continue to highlight the diverse and inclusive communities of New Hope and Lambertville.
The parade will begin at 11am where New Jersey’s first same-sex marriages were performed in 2013 – Lambertville City Hall and continue down Bridge Street into Pennsylvania, making it the only Pride Parade which crosses a state line. Following the Parade, join us for our Pride Fair at the end of South Main St. open to the public in the Legion parking lot at the corner of New St. and South Main St. There will be vendors and live entertainment from 12 pm to 5:00 pm. Open to all, this fun-filled day brings everyone together to celebrate diversity. Cash bars are available. Admission proceeds will benefit New Hope Celebrates and all PrideFest events.

5/18 – Canal Walk, Friends of Delaware Canal, 8:30-12pm., Mueller’s Kitchen and General Store to Ringing Rocks Trailhead – One-way walk with carpooling – 6.5 miles – 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Our walk begins at Mueller’s and will take us through Riegelsville, where we will explore the town’s history and learn about the Roebling Bridge. We will then proceed to the Gallow’s Run Aqueduct and Lock 21 at Durham Creek. Continuing south, we will encounter Lock 20, Indian Rock, and the Narrows Restaurant and Inn. 5/21 – The Morris Canal: An Illustrated History – Virtual, 7:30pm., Join Tim Roth of the Canal Society of New Jersey on Zoom as he explores the fascinating history of the Morris Canal, from its inception in the 1820s to its abandonment 100 years later. The Morris Canal & Banking Company set out to build a canal to move Pennsylvania coal to booming markets on the East Coast. The 102-mile canal stretched from Phillipsburg to Jersey City, climbing 1,674 feet using 23 lift locks and 23 incredible water-powered inclined planes—some lifting boats nearly 100 feet! Learn about the innovative construction, discover how boats navigated, and get a glimpse into the lives of the many people who lived and worked along its banks. In addition, Roth will highlight some of the sites that can still be visited today along the ever-expanding Morris Canal Greenway.

5/24 - Nature's Nightlife with Ryan Bridge, "The Bug Man", Washington Crossing Park, 8:30pm.
What do insects do at night and how do they see in the dark? The ultra-violet world, in which insects live, has always intrigued Ryan and he'll detail anatomy and life-cycle, while keeping the main focus on nocturnal insects. You'll have the opportunity to hold some of the largest LIVE bugs in the world! Next, Light Stations are set-up to attract insects, where the audience will venture into the darkness to see just what is... flying, crawling and hopping around at night.
