On this Earth Day event, join us in celebrating Mother Earth with songs, stories and work projects to protect the farm's natural environment.
You can help with field projects, nature trail maintenance, removal of invasive plants, planting of native trees, and environmental stewardship on the farm. Projects for kids include animal care and spring clean-up in the Children's Garden. 13th Annual Bookin' For Lookin' 5K & 10K Run & Walk April 27 – Register Today! Both courses start at Council Rock High School and loop through scenic Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA. 4/6 - Doug Schlicher, Yardley Born and Bred, Yardley Historical Association, 2pm., Doug Schlicher will tell about his adventures as a Yardley boy, actor, and blacksmith during a program hosted by the Yardley Historical Association. It will be held on in the Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 West Afton Avenue.Some people have the gift of colorfully sharing their life stories. Doug Schlicher is one of them. His tales of growing up in Yardley in the 1950’s, his acting roles, the celebrities he met, and his veer into blacksmithing and colonial crafting are engaging and entertaining. Using photos and videos, Doug will share his experiences – his days working at the local kennel, his widely varying acting jobs, being a Formula One racing buff, a long-distance hitchhiker, an encyclopedia salesman, a motorcyclist, and a craftsman supplying reproduction nails to historic sites like Pennsbury Manor and Williamsburg. At the heart of Yardley are its people. Doug Schlicher is definitely one to know. This presentation is free, and the public is welcome to attend.

Join the wildly popular designer, educator, and podcaster Debbie Millman to celebrate the release of her "Love Letter to a Garden," a lyrical and inspiring illustrated story of her quest to create and sustain a backyard garden.
Although she always longed for a garden, for most of her life Debbie Millman was a houseplant-killer. This poetic and profound book, illustrated with luminous watercolor drawings, describes how she came to fall in love with gardening and to create the lush garden she now shares with her wife, the essayist, author, and NY Times opinion writer Roxane Gay. 4/28 – Culinary & Hospitality Open House, BCCC, 6-7:30pm., Bucks County Community College, which has been launching careers for more than 60 years, invites the public to a Culinary & Hospitality Open House on Monday, April 28, in Founders Hall on the Newtown Campus. The free event, which takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., features tours of gleaming, state-of-the-art culinary labs, demos by chef instructors, and samples of cuisine prepared by students.
In addition, guests can learn about the College’s degrees and certificate programs in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Hospitality Management, and Event Planning and Management.

4/29 – 4/30 - PAW Patrol Live @PPL Center, 6pm., PAW Patrol Live! “A Mighty Adventure” follows Chase, Marshall, Skye and the rest of the pack after they save Adventure City with their Mighty Pup Powers. Now it’s time for the “PAW-some-est” street party ever. But when supervillain scientist Victoria Vance feels left out of the festivities, she unleashes her latest invention to crash the party and steal the spotlight for herself! Can the Mighty Pups, armed with their super-charged powers, outsmart Victoria to ensure Adventure City’s biggest bash goes off without a hitch? It’ll take the power of paw-sitivity and mighty teamwork to foil her plans and keep the party pumping!
