Fireworks on The Delaware

8/5 - Revolutionary War Reenactment Washington Crossing State Park NJ
Outwater’s Militia (A reenactment group, portraying a Revolutionary War militia unit) will be encamped at Washington Crossing State Park, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 5th. Come and see the men of Outwater’s Militia join together and drill in preparation for action against his majesty’s troops. Stroll through the encampment when the men are not drilling and learn about the life and times of the Revolutionary War. The event will occur between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
The Visitor Center Museum will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. featuring The Swan Historical Foundation’s Collection of 500+ Colonial and Revolutionary War artifacts. Enter the park and follow the signs to the Visitor Center Museum.

8/6 - Pennsbury Manor Sundays: Living History both Fascinating & Fun
Historic Trade Demonstrations. Come and witness trades and crafts performed at Pennsbury Manor during the 17th Century. Our blacksmiths, joiners (specialized carpenters), and spinners will be eager to talk to you about their work and its importance during Penn's time. Fun fact: In Colonial times, a spinning party was a political act (avoiding British-taxed goods), and wearing homespun clothes was a show of patriotism.

Composting is a natural process where organic materials decompose and are recycled into a dry, crumbly, earthy smelling soil conditioner known as “compost”. Compost improves soil structure and moisture retention as it contributes to healthy plant growth by providing necessary nutrients. In this class, two of our Master Gardener staff members will demonstrate how to compost and why you should compost. The lecture and demonstration will show efficient ways to layer materials to convert the proper food scraps into “brown gold”. Learn what goes in and what doesn’t. 11am.

9/1 - Fireworks on The Delaware
In an impressive display of community spirit, the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and New Hope Celebrates are excited to revive the much-loved summer fireworks display over the Delaware River. This event, a favorite among locals and visitors alike, is set to fill the night sky with a burst of colors, subtly symbolizing the unity and inclusivity that are the cornerstones of our community.
The fireworks will take place on August 4, and September 1 and are set to begin at approximately 9:10 p.m., providing a perfect conclusion to a summer evening.
