Tick, Tick… Boom! At Bucks County Playhouse
Before there was a Rent, there was Tick, Tick… Boom! Join us for the musical that inspired the Oscar-nominated film!
“Tick, Tick … Boom” is a high-octane rock musical that follows the life of a young composer facing 30 with little to show for it. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out the city (Tick ….), his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue (Tick …), yet Jon is still waiting tables and trying to write the great American musical (Boom!). Based on his life of before he wrote Rent, Jonathan Larson’s “Tick, Tick … Boom” is a youthful, vibrant, and moving musical reminding us that sometimes dreams can come true. Yardley Art Center and Brewery Collaborate on Beer Can Design
AOY Art Center has partnered with Vault Brewing Company to create a new beer can design for their popular Teller Pilsner. The contest attracted 13 entries, and the winning design will be revealed at AOY Night at the Vault on July 27 from 6-9 PM. 7/8 - Advanced Botanical Dyeing Class
 Learn how to embody gorgeous color backgrounds into your eco-printed textile. This class focuses on a technique called “eco-printing with a carrier blanket” and has become very popular amongst textile artists around the world. Beginning with a blank white scarf, participants will create a design on the fabric using plant materials. A separate fabric will then be used to infuse a colorful background. Participants are encouraged to have some previous eco-printing experience. After registration, participants will be guided to collect and flatten botanical materials to use or experiment with in their design. Don’t kill that plant! You might be able to use it! On Saturday, July 8 from 10 and 11:30 AM, discover the true meaning of what a “weed” is during a morning of herbaceous fun. Join the park naturalist for a walk to learn about wild plants that are beneficial to humans. This walk will feature information on useful wild plants, how to identify them, what parts can be harvested, and different applications for their use.

Please keep in mind that these hikes are intended to maintain a quick hiking pace. Prepare yourself for the day by bringing a full water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing for the weather! Heathy Hikes are generally completed within 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The Friends of Washington Crossing Park’s Wine on the Waterfront returns to the banks of the Delaware River in Washington Crossing Historic Park on Saturday, July 29 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. 8/4 - Fireworks on The Delaware
In an impressive display of community spirit, the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and New Hope Celebrates are excited to revive the much-loved summer fireworks display over the Delaware River. This event, a favorite among locals and visitors alike, is set to fill the night sky with a burst of colors, subtly symbolizing the unity and inclusivity that are the cornerstones of our community.
The fireworks will take place on August 4, and September 1 and are set to begin at approximately 9:10 p.m., providing a perfect conclusion to a summer evening.
