We are looking for individuals with leadership skills to help plan, execute on the day of, and complete follow-up tasks for events throughout the year. The NHC Board has specific committees to oversee every PrideFest event, each chaired by a Board Member with assistance from volunteers in the community. Come OUT and get involved with our fabulous LGBTQ+ organization serving the New Hope & Lambertville communities since 2003. Founded in 1953 as Council Rock Little League, our league originally included all of Northampton, Richboro and Holland in addition to our current boundary of Newtown Borough and Newtown Township. Peeps in The Village, A PEEP-tastic Competition Continues
This spring, Peddler’s Village presents the 4th Annual PEEPS® in the Village, on display from Monday, March 13 through Sunday, April 23. The colorful display includes over 90 creations of wall art, dioramas, and sculpture, featuring the popular Pennsylvania-made bunnies and chicks, and carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations. Washington Crossing Spring Brewfest Returns
The event features sampling of beers from local, regional, and national breweries as well as live music, mouthwatering food vendors, and a beautiful wooded setting overlooking the Delaware River. Every dollar made through Spring Brewfest helps the non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Park educate the public, promote the historic events that took place in Bucks County in 1776, and preserve the park’s colonial-era buildings and artifacts. For 14 years Snipes Farm Day Camp has provided children and youth a place to learn, to grow and to have fun with friends on a farm! Our kind and capable staff include a chef educator, art specialist, garden and environmental educator, nurse and camp instructors. Five separate "bunk" areas for each of the camper groups serve as their home away from home. The whole farm is the campus including woods, creeks, fields, gardens and orchard. Care of animals, a garden and community are at the heart of what we do.

The Bridge Academy is a 501c3 not for profit specialized school for students with language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit disorder. 4/17 - George F. Tyler: A Synergy of Being and Doing; Including an Architectural History and Behind the Scenes Tour of the Tyler Mansion
The keynote lecture will be presented by Daniel Tyler, grandson of George and Stella Tyler, retired professor of history at Colorado State University and author of "Bucks County's Benevolent Squire: In Search of George Frederick Tyler." Mr. Tyler will show how his grandfather and grandmother, Stella Elkins, managed to represent the class of "Perennial Philadelphians" into which they were born, while at the same time using their talents and inherited wealth to benefit society. 6:30pm.

recognizing the body’s natural signals of hunger, fullness, and satisfaction. Join McCaffrey’s Registered Dietitian, Jill Kwasny , MS, RDN for a free and informative program on Intuitive Eating: A Non-Diet Approach to Healthful Eating. Jill will discuss the 10 principles of intuitive eating and reinforce the importance of listening to internal

4/20 - Chester Lear Tells Tales
Funny, sharp, and ever-observant, Chester Lear knew how to spin a tale. Son of the locktender at Lock 6 on the Delaware Canal, his head was filled with stories of his family’s life on the canal, his experiences in downtown Yardley, and the folks he met.
Mr. Lear was interviewed by Annamae Bakun at a Yardley Historical Association meeting in March 1981. He was 86-years-old at the time, so he had a lot to tell. We will be listening to the tape of that meeting and, as a bonus, will be seeing first-hand the three canal boats that he carved and gave to the Association. The Newtown Chamber Orchestra returns to the Newtown Theatre for their annual performance of “Peter and the Wolf” on Sunday, April 23 at 3 PM.
This narrated, family-friendly concert includes audience participation, an instrumental “petting zoo” that gives children the chance to touch musical instruments and speak with their players, and a take-home booklet of fun educational materials.

4/23 - Botanical Printing & Dyeing Class
Botanical natural dyeing is the process of embedding botanical “stamps” directly from plant material into fabric or paper. Working with natural elements such as leaves, blossoms, berries, vegetables and bark, you will design and dye your own silk scarf. As you are waiting for the materials to process, Kathy will guide you on a nature walk to discuss the dyeing characteristics of different types of natural materials. 4/27 - A Canal Towpath and South Canal Street Stroll
Come with us as we stroll along the Delaware Canal towpath from Afton Avenue to Lock 5 and then head west to explore South Canal Street, a hidden Yardley Borough neighborhood. With a boatyard, South Canal Street was a hub of activity while mules still pulled coal-laden boats along the canal. Later when the railroad bridge was built, many of the houses on the east side of the street were built for the workers.
A special stop on this tour will be the historic AME Church, which is being rescued by conservator Shirley Lee Corsey and volunteers. Now called the Gather Place, we will tour the interior to see the original church features and a new exhibit of old photos of Yardley. Susan Taylor will lead this 2-mile round trip walk pointing out sites and sharing stories along the way. A donation of $10 per person is requested for the tour. Capturing Gardens in Pictures and Words: a 20 year Collaboration Exploring the Gardening World, Featuring Adam Levine and Rob Cardillo.
Adam and Rob, an award-winning writer/photographer duo, have been collaborating on award-winning gardening books and magazine projects since 2001. For the past 8 years, Rob (as photography editor) and Adam (as editor and chief) have been part of the team that produces GROW, the magazine of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, four-time winner of the “best magazine” award from Garden Communicators International.

4/30 - Bookin’ 4 Lookin’ 5K Run/Walk at CR North
This is our eleventh annual Bookin’ 4 Lookin’ 5K run/walk and we are excited to have you to be a part of it! This 3.1 mile race course starts at Council Rock High School North, loops through scenic Tyler State Park (including a couple hills) before finishing fast on a flat track back at the high school. When you are done, grab some snacks, enjoy some music and hang out for our awards ceremony where top finishers will receive special medals! Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. Whether you are running the full Bucks 5K series or walking with friends for a little exercise this event is for you! Children and service dogs are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds from our race will benefit the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (BCBVI) Race begins at 8:30 am Council Rock High School North.
