“Quintessential Yardley" Art Show and Silent Auction
This winter, fifteen artworks and two large aerial maps were taken down from the office walls. Continuing the family’s tradition, they were contributed to the Yardley Historical Association to support its preservation efforts. These unique and nearly antique pieces will be on display and up for silent auction on March 25 and 26.
All of the art depicts scenes in downtown Yardley – South and North Main Streets, Canal Street, and East Afton Avenue. Many illustrate buildings and details that no longer can be seen. The tradition of cherishing the town can be continued by acquiring one of these pieces and giving it a new wall on which to hang, while also supporting the preservation and maintenance of Yardley’s jewel, the Old Library by Lake Afton.
A one-time opportunity on Saturday and Sunday, March 25 and 26 • 1 to 5 p.m.
Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 West Afton Avenue, Yardley PA
