Calling all Cool Cars for the 2022 NBA Newtown Antique & Classic Car Show
This year's annual Newtown Business Association Newtown Antique & Classic Auto Show is back on State Street! This great summer event will be held on Sunday, August 28th from 10am to 3pm on historic State Street in Newtown Borough and will feature cars in all makes and models from 1900 to 1997. This festive event has been attended in the past by thousands of spectators. Cars may register on the day of the event at a fee of $25 for any remaining available spaces. A registration form for mailing may also be downloaded and sent with the registration fee, which must be received via mail by August 15. Dames at Sea, Bucks County Playhouse through Sept 11, 2022
In the tradition of 42nd Street, Dames at Sea is a tap-happy stage musical that will lift your spirits! Ruby steps off a bus from Utah and into her first Broadway show, but hours before the opening night curtain is to rise, the cast learns their theater is being demolished. So Ruby and the cast, with the help of some adoring sailors, come up with an ingenious plan to ensure that the show goes on! August 12 - September 11th, 2022.

Join us for our SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL August 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th. We’ll have the TONS of amazing activities we typically have in our festival field, plus Live Music on the big stage, and some animals the kids can see like sheep, Llamas and even a Camel.
You can cut your own sunflowers to take home (priced by the stem or by the container), or just get lost in our field of sunny sunflowers! There are plenty of photo opportunities for you and your friends and family. Food and drinks are available.

Center School Hosts Group and Personal Tours This Summer
Since 1989, Center School in Abington, PA has supported students in grades 1-8 who have language-based learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, auditory and visual processing disorders. Center School is dedicated to designing personalized instructional programs to foster each child's optimal development through the use of small group instruction. This involves the ongoing diagnosis of the strengths and needs of each student. With a heavy literacy focus, students are immersed in a structured, practical, and multi-modal approach to learning. Sand Sculptures at Peddlers Village
Through August 31, Bucks County Beach Days: Sand Sculptures in the Village will showcase six 12-foot-tall sculptures and two smaller ones created by four world-renowned master sand sculptors. The spectacular sculptures, all of which are due to be completed by June 8 (weather depending), will pay homage to Bucks County’s rich history, landmarks, and scenery. Sandboxes designed for family play will also be placed throughout the property. The event is one of many– including free giveaways all year long and a 60s-style dance party in June–scheduled during Peddler’s Village’s celebratory 60th anniversary year. The finished sculptures will showcase numerous Bucks County landmarks and themes, including Peddler’s Village, Washington’s Crossing Historic Park, covered bridges, Fonthill Castle, and the Bucks County Playhouse, among others. The Grundy Museum will host Judy Gaunt and Dawn and Jim McCreary from Friends of Burlington Island on the River Park Lawn, Saturday, Aug 6, from 11:30am – 1:00pm. Get an up close and personal look at the Island seated on the Lawn behind the Museum as their live presentation “Burlington Island, In Your Backyard” unfolds. 8/12 - Hot Club of Philadelphia at The Newtown Theatre
The Newtown Theatre's monthly Friday Night Jazz series will welcome the Hot Club of Philadelphia on Friday, August 12 at 8 PM. Formed in 2001, the Hot Club of Philadelphia plays music often referred to as gypsy jazz, which is based on the recordings of Belgian-born gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and French violinist Stéphane Grappelli.

For 65 years, some of the finest antique and classic automobiles in the country have made their way to New Hope, Pennsylvania to be judged for authenticity, originality, cleanliness, and condition. Over the years, The New Hope Automobile Show has drawn up to 10,000 people over the two-day show, all looking to see and appreciate the design and technology of automobile manufacturers from all over the world.

In partnership with the Friends of Washington Crossing Park the next meeting of the Washington Crossing Historic Park Book Club is set for Monday, August 15, 2022 at 5:30 PM. 8/27 - Trent House Reenactment, The Encampment at Trenton NJ
The Trent House Association presents a free all-day re-enactment on the grounds of the William Trent House Museum from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Soldiers of Le Régiment Bourbonnais will erect tents on site and will relive camp life including cooking over a fire pit. Members of the 1st Rhode Island Regiment will recount stories of African American soldiers who formed about one-quarter of Washington's army. Both regiments will demonstrate military drills with children encouraged to learn commands in English and French. Ned Hector, a free Black man who was teamster and bombardier in Washington's army, will engage all ages in conversation about his life and service. Injury and disease were an enemy as much as the British, and an army surgeon and an apothecary will demonstrate the tools and practices of medical care of the time. Informal talks will be given throughout the day by local experts on the maps created. Children and adults can try on items of French uniforms for photographs and children can take part in a scavenger hunt as they tour the grounds, with books as prizes.
