Capitol Debate Summer Camps teach the fundamentals of public speaking and argumentation, enabling kids to develop core presentation and debating skills that boost confidence and self-esteem. Our debate camps teach students to structure arguments, prepare debate cases, research evidence, write rebuttal briefs, deliver speeches and refute opponent arguments. Capitol Debate's goal is to enrich the social, intellectual, and academic lives of our students through the art of communication. Since 2006, our academic camps have grown to serve thousands of students and are now hosted across the United States on over 15 campuses.

Crossing Vineyards and Winery 2022 Summer Wine & Music Series, June Schedule
The Summer Music Series kicks off on June 3rd with The Fabulous Greaseband: '50s to '90s Rock 'n Roll. Other June performances are June 10th - JC Cole & Folsom '68 Band: a Johnny Cash Tribute Band, and June 17th, The -Sensational Soul Cruisers: 60’s, 70’s & 80’s Soul, RnB and more. Performances are on Fridays at 7 pm, rain or shine.
Cost: $15 per person in advance. $20 the week of the concert.

Sand Sculptures at Peddlers Village
Starting on June 8 and continuing through August 31, Bucks County Beach Days: Sand Sculptures in the Village will showcase six 12-foot-tall sculptures and two smaller ones created by four world-renowned master sand sculptors. The spectacular sculptures, all of which are due to be completed by June 8 (weather depending), will pay homage to Bucks County’s rich history, landmarks, and scenery. Sandboxes designed for family play will also be placed throughout the property. The event is one of many– including free giveaways all year long and a 60s-style dance party in June–scheduled during Peddler’s Village’s celebratory 60th anniversary year. The finished sculptures will showcase numerous Bucks County landmarks and themes, including Peddler’s Village, Washington’s Crossing Historic Park, covered bridges, Fonthill Castle, and the Bucks County Playhouse, among others. No experience needed! Each child will receive an official fishing derby kit and cup of bait. Children age 15 and under do not need a license. All anglers 16 years of age and older are required to have a valid fishing license. Bring a bucket to carry the fish to the weigh station where they will be measured and recorded for prizes. All are welcome to join us at the Newtown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 5th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM for an Olde Fashioned Strawberry Social. This event celebrates the opening of the Historic Church and the reunification of our church community. We suggest a donation of $5.00 per person. 6/5 - Historical Festival, The Bridge Academy
Learn about local history and participate in family activities and games at The Bridge to the American Revolution Historical Festival on Sunday, June 5th 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. The festival is hosted by The Bridge Academy and will be held on the school property at 1900 Lawrenceville Road. This is a free event and open to the public. Learn about an important historical battle that took place on The Bridge Academy's school property that was instrumental to the outcome of the Revolutionary Way. SLNC is pleased to welcome back Singer, Songwriter, Musician, and Nashville Recording Artist, Christopher Westfall, to celebrate the upcoming Summer Solstice.

6/18 - Delaware River Kayak Excursion
Team up with the Park Naturalist for a fun float in a kayak down the Delaware River on Saturday, June 18 from noon to 3 PM! After an on-land strategy and safety session, participants will launch from the northernmost point of Washington Crossing Historic Park and kayak 5 miles to the Visitor Center with assistance from the Park Naturalist.
Kayaks, PFDs, and paddles will be supplied. Registration is required. Participants must be 12 years or older. Individuals who have their own kayaking equipment and a PA Launch Permit are welcome to register and join!

As part of its annual Independence Day celebration, Washington Crossing Historic Park invites classic car owners to compete in the fourth annual Rebels & Redcoats Classic Car Show on Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 10 AM to 2 PM. This unique show features only American, French, British and German cars, representing the four countries involved in the Revolutionary War! Classic show-condition cars from model years 1997 and earlier are welcome. The show will be held in the large grassy field across from the Washington Crossing Historic Park Visitor Center.
