Girls and boys 2 to 17 can choose from 40+ camps on Stuart's 55 wooded acres, including: Stuart Academic Academy for girls, STEM camps like robotics and coding, performing and visual arts, sports camps for girls (basketball, tennis, lacrosse, and field hockey), and more. Turning Point Brunch Restaurant Will Open In Newtown This Spring
Turning Point, a restaurant serving breakfast, brunch and lunch will open a Newtown location at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center in the building that includes the new Harvest Seasonal Grill and Pier One. It's expected to open in late summer or early fall, according to the company's founder and CEO. Turning Point has created a unique daytime restaurant that serves creative breakfast and lunch meals using the freshest ingredients. Second Look Newtown Thrift Shop Annual Turnover Sale
Starting on Monday, February 5 through the 16th everything will be half price including items in the High End Boutique. To keep the excitement going, on Saturday, February 17 through Monday, February 19 all merchandise excluding the High End Boutique will be $1. The store will be closed February 20 and 21 to allow us to prepare for the Spring season and will reopen on Thursday, February 22 with new spring fashions and everything to get you ready for warmer weather. With up to $3000 in awards and 2 very prestigious jurors, Lisa Tremper Hanover, former CEO of the Michener Museum, and James Toogood, renowned painter and teacher at PAFA, you don't want to miss it. 2/17 - Habitat For Humanity Safe at Home Repair Clinic - The clinic will be presented by Karen Reever, manager of Habitat's Home Repair program; Megan McLaughlin, occupational therapist with Bayada Home Health; and Jeff Olavarria, owner of Age in My Place. 2/18 - Winter Footwear Walk - Join the Friends of the Delaware Canal on Sunday, February 18 at 1p.m. for a Winter Footwear Walk along the snowy towpath. The 3-mile round trip walk will begin in the parking lot across from the former Mountainside Inn in the village of Point Pleasant. Participants will learn about the history of the two villages and the intriguing Devil’s Half Acre that lies midway, and, perhaps, catch glimpses of bald eagles and waterfowl along the way. Trading supplies could be the answer! You're invited to join us for a Craft Supply Swap at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library. First, donated craft supplies will be accepted on February 22, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and on February 23 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. With any donated craft supply individuals receive a VIP ticket for early entrance the day of the swap.
