Saturday, February 28 / Doors: 7:30 p.m. / Show: 8:30–10 p.m. To kick off the 28th season of the beloved concert series, Jazz Night at the Michener presents the Nina Simone Project, featuring Carol Riddick and Gerald Veasley. The Nina Simone Project has been described as a soul-stirring celebration of one of music’s most powerful voices. This remarkable project captures the passion, resilience, and artistry of Nina Simone through a masterful lineup of seasoned performers. Carol Riddick delivers Simone’s iconic vocals with grace and emotional depth, while Gerald Veasley brings his world-renowned bass mastery to the stage. Guests will be treated to an evening of art, captivating music and light refreshments in the Museum’s elegant Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion. Refreshments and Museum admission are included in ticket price. Please note: Seating is arranged in tables. Each table can seat eight individuals per table. Tickets purchased together under the same name will be sat together.
