Santa Express Train Ride, Black River & Western Railroad

The experience begins as you board your train in Flemington, and each child receives a souvenir golden ticket! Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus on board. Stop at Ringoes Station to enjoy a cookie and hot cocoa, an abundance of festive photo opportunities, operating model trains, and more. There’s no better way to embrace the holiday spirit than at Black River & Western Railroad.

Excited to show they can handle the job, the elves get to work, but soon realize they’re in “over their candy canes.” As they struggle to decide who’s naughty and who’s nice, the list gets shorter and shorter… until it seems like no one will get presents at all! Full of festive songs, dancing, and holiday cheer, The Nice List is a heartwarming musical adventure the whole family will love!

Candlelight Tours at Pennsbury Manor

Experience holiday magic with a candlelight tour of Pennsbury Manor, William Penn’s country estate on the Delaware River! Admission is $9 adults, $7 seniors, and $5 children. A tradition for sixty years, American Repertory Ballet’s THE NUTCRACKER is one of the longest continuously running productions in the nation and a perfect holiday treat for all ages! With thrilling choreography set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, ARB’s professional company will be joined by students from Princeton Ballet School to tell the story of Clara, a young girl who receives a magical Christmas gift and embarks on an enchanted journey. The Nutcracker holds a special place in the hearts of both new and longtime patrons, becoming synonymous with the holiday season. Performances will take place from Friday, November 28 through Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Princeton, Red Bank, and New Brunswick.

Elf the Musical, Bucks County Playhouse

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Age recommendation: Ages 8 and up. Children under 4 are not permitted into the theater.
