River Crossing YMCA Healthy Kids Day
Friday April 17, 2026
River Crossing YMCA invites families to kick off a healthy, active summer at Healthy Kids Day. The Y's annual Healthy Kids Day event will be held on Friday, April 17 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at its Bethlehem, Doylestown, Easton, Fairless Hills, Nazareth, Slate Belt, Quakertown and Warminster branches and on April 18 from 11 AM to 1 PM at its Allentown and Deer Path (Flemington, NJ) branches. This free, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage a safe, healthy and fun summer season. Activities include a family dance party, crafts, games and more! John Malkovich in The Music Critic, McCarter Theatre

Schumann fancies himself a “composer”, while Brahms is a “giftless bastard” and Claude Debussy is simply ugly. Aleksey Igudesman has created a sardonic mix of the most evil music critiques of the last centuries written about some of the greatest works of music. Equipped with a frivolous potpourri of musical insults, John Malkovich slips into the role of the evil critic who believes the music of Beethoven, Chopin, Prokofiev and the likes to be weary and dreary. Aleksey Igudesman, Hyung-ki Joo and other great musicians beg to differ and fight back. The grand finale is “The Malkovich Torment”, a horrific review about Malkovich himself, which Igudesman has set to music in a uniquely sardonically humorous way.

Atlantic Mandolin Quartet, Zlock Performing Arts Center

An ensemble dedicated to classical mandolin chamber music, featuring members hailing from the United States, Israel, and Russia, Ekaterina Skliar, Carrera Stamile, Gabriel Locati, and Dor Gidon Amran. The group performs arrangements like Mozart's Divertimento for mandolin quartet, celebrates the legacy of the mandolin and explores new repertoire.

Learn about animal relationships in the springtime during a guided night hike with our educators, followed by toasting a marshmallow over the campfire.
