NEWTOWN, Pa. – The historic Newtown Theatre is bringing back its popular “Cult Vault” series with four summer disaster films in July. This series is sponsored by Attleboro Wealth Management in Yardley. The movie lineup includes:
- “The Poseidon Adventure” (1972) on Tuesday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m. A group of passengers must embark on a harrowing struggle for survival after a rogue wave capsizes their cruise ship. Starring Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine and Shelley Winters.
- “Cloverfield” (2008) on Tuesday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. A group of friends venture deep into the streets of New York on a rescue mission during a rampaging monster attack.
- “The Towering Inferno” (1974) on Tuesday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. At the opening party of a colossal skyscraper, a massive fire breaks out due to careless building practices by the contractor. Starring Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, William Holden, Faye Dunaway and Fred Astaire.
Tickets for each movie are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com or at the Newtown Theatre box office 30 minutes before screen time for $12/adults, $10/seniors and students, and FREE for theatre members. Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before each movie.
