Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County (Habitat Bucks) will open its new store, one of the largest ReStores in the country, on Friday, July 9th at 10am. The new ReStore is located at 539 Jacksonville Road, in Warminster. The ReStore accepts donations of overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials, furniture, appliances and household goods from manufacturers, retail stores, contractors and individuals. Donated items are then sold to the general public at discounted prices. Habitat Bucks recently closed their Chalfont location to relocate here, and currently operates a five-year-old ReStore in Langhorne as well.
Grand opening weekend starts at 10am on Friday with fun for the whole family, and activities and deals planned through close of business on Saturday. While supplies last, each day customers will receive free food and ice cream vouchers for onsite food trucks and will be entered into raffles for in-store discounts. A few lucky winners will receive 50% off their total purchase! Reusable swag giveaways, furniture painting demonstrations, balloon animals, face painting, and games like corn hole are some of the activities planned throughout the event.
“The shopping treasures are reason enough to join in the fun, but we don’t plan on stopping there,” said B.J. Breish, ReStore Director. “Opening Warminster marks the completion of our expansion and relocation from Chalfont. We are growing our store in order to grow our mission. We look forward to meeting new friends, and celebrating with our many loyal fans in our new home, home sweet home.”
Junkluggers will also be on location Saturday 10-1 to host a free E-waste collection, collecting small appliances, printers, computers, laptops, VCR’s, and almost anything with a plug! Visit Habitat Bucks for a list of accepted e-waste recycling items.
“We hope to see everyone in the community during our grand opening so that we can all celebrate this milestone, which would not have been possible without their support. Habitat Bucks ReStores are terrific sources of sustainable funding of our mission to build communities and empower families in Bucks County. We are thrilled to grow into our new location in Warminster,” said Florence Kawoczka, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.
As one of the largest in the country, the new Habitat Restore in Warminster will join the more than 882 Habitat ReStores helping to provide sustainable funding to the mission of Habitat for Humanity in their local communities.
The Warminster ReStore accepts donations at the store from Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Larger items can be picked-up at residences or businesses for free. To arrange for a free donation pick-up, visit the Habitat Bucks website at www.Habitatbucks.org or call 215- 822-2708.
