NJ & PA Washington Crossing Riverbank Cleanup
Join our neighbors at the Washington Crossing Park Association (NJ) and The Friends of Washington Crossing Park (PA) for the annual Washington Crossing Riverbank Cleanup on Friday, August 23, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. This year’s event takes place on the New Jersey side—meet at the Nelson House on River Drive, the white house directly across the bridge. Volunteers will help clear debris from the Delaware’s edge in preparation for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Crossing. Gloves and bug spray will be provided! Whether you choose to wade along the banks or stay dry on land, this is a great way to give back to the parks we all love. Volunteers must be 18 or older (or 16+ with a parent), and should wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. The event will run rain or shine (except in severe weather).
