To be sure he doesn’t melt, the kids take Frosty to the North Pole where he meets Rudolph, and they hatch a plan to save Christmas by using the reindeer’s incredible red nose to guide Santa’s sleigh. Holiday Open House, Yardley Historical Association

 The Yardley Historical Association will welcome visitors to Holiday Open Houses on each Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. The festivities will be held at the Association’s headquarters located in the heart of Yardley at 46 West Afton Avenue.

Amid evergreens and holly, the highlight will be an expansive model train layout with tooting engines, clattering cabooses, and trolleys. With familiar buildings, landmarks, and billboards, the railroad scene will evoke Yardley’s past and present. Standing tall above the trains will be a fir tree adorned as it would have been in Victorian times with chromolithography paper ornaments, cranberry and popcorn chains, real candles, and toys. Homemade cutout sugar cookies and warm cider will be offered to all.

“Yardley” gifts – “Old Library Books” velvet ornaments from England, flour sack and embroidered tea towels, books, prints, and paper goods of all sorts - will be available to purchase for holiday gift giving or keeping. In the spirit of the season, the Open Houses are free. Donations are always welcome. Proceeds will benefit the Historical Association’s efforts to maintain the Victorian library building and its collections of books, documents, and ephemera related to Yardley’s history.

This free event will take place on December 12th and 13th from 5-7pm, bringing holiday cheer to the heart of their community. Families can enjoy treats, crafts, and photos with Santa, along with the opportunity for children to write and drop off their letters for Santa in a special mailbox. The new location offers easy access for residents, ample parking, and the natural charm of a community park, making it the perfect destination for joyful memories and Township cheer this holiday season. *They will be collecting non-perishable food items and donations for New Britain Food Pantry*
