Victorian Holiday House, Grundy Museum

The Grundy Museum announces the return of its annual holiday tradition, Victorian Holiday House on November 21, 2025, with a new themed exhibit, "Toys & Tinsel." This year's celebration invites guests to step into the wonder of a Victorian inspired Christmas, surrounded by antique toys and the elegance of seven beautifully decorated Christmas trees throughout the Grundy Museum in historic Bristol Borough. Each room will showcase Victorian holiday splendor thanks to the creative efforts of museum staff, volunteers, and designer Jimmy Bason Gilpatrick, with his talented team from Bird of Paradise Flowers on Mill Street. The Opening Night of this event is on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 6pm, and will feature a live violin performance by Claudia Pellegrini and light refreshments served in the Museum's South Lawn Garden. Tickets are $50.

Come learn about fire safety and survival skills that will have you saying goodbye to your lighter and fuel at your next campfire. Afterwards, enjoy a toasted marshmallow. "Shrek the Musical" is a vibrant and comedic adaptation of the beloved animated film. The story follows Shrek, a grumpy ogre who values his solitude in a swamp. His life is turned upside down when fairy tale creatures are banished to his home by the evil Lord Farquaad. To reclaim his swamp, Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad: he will rescue Princess Fiona, who is locked in a tower, in exchange for the return of his peaceful life.

The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Age recommendation: Ages 8 and up. Children under 4 are not permitted into the theater.
