The Old Library by Lake Afton We welcome back our favorite storyteller and impersonator Carol Simon Levin. The fascinating woman that she will protray is Catharine "Caty" Greene, the "indomitable" wife of General Nathanael Greene, one of George Washington's most valued officers and leader of the left flank of the Continental Army in the Battle of Trenton. Known as a witty raconteur, Caty Greene lifed the spirits of officers and troops as the war ranged from New Jersey to South Carolina. She famously danced with George Washington for three hours straight. Her pluck carried her through victories and tragedies, not only duing the war, but throughout her life. Carol Simon Levin is a master at "Telling Her Stories." You won't want to miss this entrancing and historically accurate performance. Donations will be gratefully accepted . During the performance, artist Kathleen Hurley Liao creates live paintings inspired by the music; those works will be offered at auction during the orchestra's Annual Gala following the concert.
