Washington’s Delaware River Crossing Reenactments Dec 8 & 25
Witness as history comes to life with two opportunities to experience the 72nd reenactments of General George Washington's daring Delaware River crossing. Annual Holiday Festivities at Fonthill Castle – The Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle are pleased to present the annual holiday programs at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA from November 16 – December 31, 2024. Located in the heart of Bucks County, Fonthill Castle, the home of Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930), is a National Historic Landmark operated by the Bucks County Historical Society. 11/15 - Grand Illumination Celebration, Peddler's Village, 4:30-9:30pm Join us for our annual Grand Illumination show showcasing local music and dance performers in this beloved annual event. At 6:15 p.m. sharp, Santa and Mrs. Claus will flip the switch to illuminate Peddler’s Village. The holiday lights will be on display every evening through January 19, 2025. Shops will be open until 10 p.m. Free admission and parking.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a very popular event, so please plan to arrive early, as traffic delays can be expected and parking can reach full capacity. We would advise against bringing dogs to this event as the pathways become congested. If you miss this event, don’t worry! The Village is lit up in holiday splendor with a million colorful lights through early January 2025.

11/16 - Reading with a Cop or Firefighter, Commonplace Reader, 1-2pm. Every third Saturday of the month join Cops ‘n’ Kids Delaware Valley at Commonplace Reader to read with a local Cop or Firefighter. The event lasts for one hour. Whether permitted, the reading will take place outside on the porch of The Commonplace Reader. Please note, there will be a donation bin for people to drop off books on the front porch!!

11/16 & 11/17 - Art in the Park, Tamanend Park Carriage House, 10am The Tamanend Park Carriage House will be filled with beautiful, original artwork created by Bucks County artists. Watercolor, oil and acrylics are the mediums used. Many of these paintings will be offered for sale and would be a lovely and unique holiday gift or a wonderful addition to your own decor. 11/23 – Newtown Holiday Cocktail Trail – A Benefit for The Newtown Theatre, 4pm., Get into the holiday “spirits” at the 2nd annual Newtown Holiday Cocktail Trail, sponsored by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson (JKJ), on Saturday, November 23 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. During this event, ticketholders will enjoy sample-size holiday cocktails at a wide variety of Newtown Borough shops, where they can find the perfect gifts for everyone on their holiday shopping list.
