January will be “Mel Brooks Month” at the historic Newtown Theatre
During the month, the theatre will screen four of Brooks’ classic films, including Young Frankenstein on Thursday, January 11 at 3pm and 7:30pm.
Frankenstein’s grandson Frederick inherits the family estate and discovers his grandfather’s private journal which contains the secret to reanimating life. Starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Teri Garr and Madeline Kahn.
Also screening Spaceballs (1987) on Thursday, January 4 at 3 and 7:30 PM. A star pilot for hire and his trusty sidekick must come to the rescue of a princess and save Planet Druidia from the clutches of the evil Spaceballs. Capital Grille In Newtown is Underway
The new 8,000-square-foot, 236-seat restaurant will be the first Capital Grille in Bucks County and the fourth in Pennsylvania. "Capital Grille is Darden's flagship restaurant. Darden is very selective as to where it opens a Capital Grille," said Kozar. "There are only 63 nationwide.
The Capital Grille, which opened its first restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island in 1990, is best known for its expertly prepared steaks, which are dry-aged in-house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by the restaurant's on-premise butcher.

The Gingerbread Competition & Display at Peddler’s Village is a feast for the eyes with more than 100 creative and whimsical entries crafted by the public in different categories. Take a Ride Through History on the Ten Crucial Days Bus Tour
From the crossing of the Delaware through the subsequent American and British military engagements at Trenton, Princeton, and areas in-between, this tour will bring to life the history changing events of Washington's army between December 25, 1776 – January 3, 1777. The public bus tour will be offered on January 6th, 2024 from 9 AM to 4 PM.
 It begins and ends at Washington Crossing, PA.
Historical interpreters Roger Williams and Larry Kidder will tell the remarkable story of the ten days that breathed crucial new life into the apparently expiring American Revolution. The events are discussed in the context of the local, strategically important central New Jersey towns, villages, and farms.Registration is required.

Join naturalist Pam Newitt for a short talk about owls that are native to our area. Then we will accompany her as she leads us on a walk around the farm while she calls to our owls with the hope of hearing a response. If we're lucky, we might see some of these elusive creatures! Bring a flashlight or headlamp. Wear warm clothing and footwear appropriate for a nighttime walk on uneven ground at the farm.
