Bucks Beautiful Plants 20,000 Daffodil Bulbs in Bucks County
These pretty perennials were planted at three locations in honor of healthcare employees, first responders, essential workers and loved ones. The Bulbs for Bucks Program was the inspiration of board member Chuck Gale, to beautify Bucks County at key locations with the first splendor of spring - blooming daffodils! Mr. Gale stated “I like the idea of planting daffodils because the bulbs multiply each year, and the project is long-lasting for future generations to enjoy. To my knowledge, this is the largest bulb planting project in the state of Pennsylvania.” Homeowners can add their own curb appeal while supporting Bucks Beautiful’s efforts by purchasing our daffodil bulbs. 50 bulbs are $25.00. To donate bulbs in tribute to your hero, or in memory of a loved one, visit www.bucksbeautiful.org

A mystery Pennsylvania mammal is making tracks at Washington Crossing Historic Park, and your family’s mission, should you choose to accept it, is to identify it! Each month, we’ll post two different trail adventures: one for young families and another for families seeking a more difficult challenge. On these adventures, you’ll find a series of five different clues at the park. Each clue contains a keyword that will help you figure out the mystery mammal. To get started, download and print a copy of this clue card. It contains a park map, more instructions, and a place to list the keywords you find. Once you’ve uncovered all the keywords and have identified the mystery mammal, email park naturalist Matt Truesdale at mtruesdale@pa.gov to confirm your answer!
