Pop Up Art Show in Newtown October 7-16th
Art at Kings Oaks, a unique pop-up art show in Bucks County, will return this fall for the fourth year, presenting twenty visual artists from across the U.S. and abroad, on view from October 7 - 16, 2016. The exhibition takes place in an historic barn and chapel on Kings Oaks Farm in Newtown, PA, where worn wooden and stone walls become backdrops for the artwork. The talent showcased by these twenty notable artists resembles a pirate's hoard, improbably gathered in one place. Art at Kings Oaks is a "What if" passion project lead by Bucks County painter Alex Cohen. Free admission. Opening reception is Friday, October 7th 6-9pm, then the show will run on Oct. 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th from 10am-5pm Closing reception Sunday, October 16th 12-4pm. Canal-O-Ween, The Jack-O-Lantern Stroll™
Imagine walking along the beautiful Delaware Canal through the historic borough of Yardley, PA on a crisp fall day around Halloween. As the sun sets in the salmon sky and the twilight settles in, hundreds of carved Jack-O-Lanterns flickering with warm light guide your way forward for over a quarter mile. It’s old fashioned, low tech, family fun way to celebrate. This year the Stroll will kick off on Sunday October 30th and go through Saturday Nov. 5th.

Newtown Chamber Orchestra’s 2016-2017 Concert Season
The first concert, “Baroque Plus” will be played on Saturday, November 12, 2016.
The music will include selections by Arensky, Woodcock, Respighi and Dvorak, with selections by guest soloist John Burkhalter. On Saturday, January 21, 2017, music Lovers will also take pleasure in the second concert of the season, “Soloists on Stage”. The remaining concert on Saturday April 8, 2017, “Spring Vibrations” will include selections by Rossini, Hummel and Mozart and the 2017 Young Musicians Competition winner. Sleepy Hollow (Newtown) Haunted Attraction Schedule
Sleepy Hollow will be open for fourteen nights this Halloween season. Our hours of operation are from 7 PM until 10 PM. On Sunday or Thursday the last hayride will go out at 9 PM. Guests who purchase tickets by 10:00 on Friday or Saturday or by 9:00 on Sunday or Thursday will be able to experience all three attractions. Newtown Theatre Screening Halloween Movies in October
The non-profit Newtown Theatre will screen two kids’ Halloween movies at the end of October. Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for children age 12 and under. The lineup includes “Paranorman” on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. and “Hotel Transylvania” on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. For adults, the Theatre will screen the 1931 version of “Dracula” with Bela Lugosi on Thursday, October 27 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and $5 for theatre members. 120 N. Potential Inc. Masquerade Ball, Celebrating 10 years
On Saturday, October 22, 2016, Potential, Inc. will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a Venetian Masquerade Ball at the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel. It’s the Great Pumpkin Returns to The Washington Crossing Open Air Theater
It's The Great Pumpkin In The Park returns for a third year and will be held on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. A second weekend is scheduled for October 15 and 16 again from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Families are encouraged to come in costume. Performances are at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Children will be able to enjoy crafts, games and more before and after each performance.

The Lambertville Historical Society will hold its 34th Autumn House Tour on Sunday, Oct. 16. A total of 10 sites will be featured this year, including eight residential properties, a house of worship, and a unique commercial/community building. The structures represent examples from the diverse time periods, building styles and intended uses seen throughout Lambertville’s unique historic building stock. The tour is self-guided and this year will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 pm. Tickets are $25 in advance ($30 on the day of the tour, $25 for LHS members) and may be purchased online.

The Carve-O-Thon™ is a great family-friendly activity where we gather to carve 250-300 Jack-O-Lanterns in about 3 hours!
