Countdown To The Doylestown Arts Festival
Only a few days remain until the 25th annual Doylestown Arts Festival! On September 10th & 11th, the festival will feature a selection of 160 juried artists, 5 stages of live music, two food courts, live demonstrations, and more. For the first time the festival has partnered with MeetBall, bringing a mobile app to the event. The free app is available for iOS and Android and will allow attendees to navigate the festival, find friends, and participate in a digital scavenger hunt for a chance to win special prizes. You can download the app and join the Doylestown Arts Festival community at meetball.com/DtownArtsFest. Sunday will feature the Thompson Bucks County Classic surrounding the borders of the festival, adding the excitement of pro cycling. 6th Annual Bike The Basin
The 6th annual BIKE THE BASIN will take place at 9:30am at The Northampton Civic Center in Richboro. While waiting for the main event, kids get to ride through a challenge course, get their face painted, get a balloon animal, dance with the live entertainment, and more.The main event is the age group ride around the nearly 1/2 mile basin track! Kids ride their bikes with their friends and tons of volunteers line the track to cheer them on and make sure they ride safely. AppleFest Weekends at Shady Brook Farm

NEW!! Homeschool Camp at Silver Lake Nature Center
Silver Lake Nature Center Director, Jerry Kozlansky, has started a Homeschool Camp, scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 13th.
This awesome new series will run for 8 Tuesdays, from September 13th through November 1st, from 1:30 to 3:30pm, with a different topic each week. Weekly topics include: Insect Metamorphosis– Lifecycles; Habitats – Biological Diversity; Fungus – Mushroom Diversity; Dichotomous Keys – Application; Fall Bird Migration – Adaptation; Fall Leaves – Seasonal Cycles; Watersheds and Wetlands – Water Cycle; and Hibernation – Animal Adaptation. Phillips’ Mill 87th Annual Art Exhibition Opens Sept. 24
The prestigious juried show, which has continued since 1929, will run through Oct. 29.
The Phillips’ Mill Art Exhibition – a New Hope tradition – will display approximately 90 framed art pieces and two dozen sculptures from artists living in eastern Pennsylvania and portions of New Jersey. Unframed pieces will also be part of the exhibition. The exhibition is open to artists living within a 25-mile radius of Phillips’ Mill. The exhibition’s prospectus details the requirements for entering the show and can be found on the Mill’s Website, www.phillipsmill.org


Newtown Parks & Rec Offers Driver’s Education for Teens (ages 15-19)
Ten weeks of classroom instruction on theory only. (Please check dates, you are required to attend all 10 classes!) Your teen may be eligible for an insurance discount because of this course, please check with your insurance company! 9/11 - Remembrance Ceremonies at Yardley's Garden of Reflection
There will be two Remembrance Ceremonies:
The morning Remembrance Ceremony will mark the chronological events on September 11th from 8:30AM to 10:20AM.
The Remembrance in Light Candlelight Ceremony will be held on September 11th at 7:00 PM. 15 years later - the legacy of the 9/11 attacks is not only embodied in our nation but also with our children. This year during the Remembrance in Light ceremony - 15 year old children will help honor the day as Stewards of the Legacy.

One weekend every year the fairgrounds are transformed into the ultimate family festival with stories, intrigues, history, crafts, varied entertainment, and interactive play. The Village has all the entertainment, crafts, food, and history befitting the interest and entertainment of everyone, from peasantry to nobility, youth to seniors. The Village awakens each day at 11:00 am for visitors to wander about and become accustomed to the village layout before the grand procession and a full day's worth of activities.
