Yardley-Makefield Library Book Sale, Sept 20-24

The Friends of the Yardley-Makefield Library are excited to announce an upcoming Book Sale.

BOOK SALE DATES AND TIMES:

- 9/20 Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM
- 9/21 Saturday: 10 AM - 4 PM
- 9/23 Monday: 9 AM - 7 PM
- 9/24 Tuesday: 9 AM - 1 PM

Available for purchase will be a diverse collection of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, games, and puzzles, with prices ranging from 50 cents to $3; select items may have higher pricing. Monday will feature all items at half price, and Tuesday is Bag Day—fill a bag for a set price (bag provided).

Weekly Living History Program, Washington Crossing Park

Join us for a series of Free Weekly Living History programs that we will be conducting in the park on Fridays in April – June at the Lower Park, and then Fridays and Saturdays in July – September at the Thompson Neely Farmstead.

These programs will cover a variety of topics surrounding the life of Soldiers and civilians during the American Revolution.

Reenactors and demonstrators will discuss the topic/activity they are portraying while also providing context for how this would affect life during the American Revolution.

July – September demonstrations will take place at 12:00pm, 1:00pm and 2:00pm.

Weekly Living History Programs are sponsored by the Albert W. Bader Foundation, Americana Corner and generous contributions from Christopher and Mary Jane Beck and the Starke Family.


Spiders Campfire, Churchville Nature Center

Come appreciate the artistic ability of spiders, who spin elaborate webs of all sizes and designs. Enjoy toasted marshmallows around a campfire and look for web-spun masterpieces outside on Friday, September 20th from 7 - 9 PM. Admission is FREE for CNC members and $5 for non-members. Registration is required.
