Monday January 21, 2019
8:00 AM

Join the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Health and Wellness Ministry and assemble meals for Aid for Friends.

All are invited to participate in an Martin Luther King (MLK) Day of Service. Our very first service project will benefit the AFF Ministry:  a group which provides and delivers free meals to the homes of shut-ins in Philadelphia and the five surrounding counties. These volunteers bring seven meals every week to those truly unable to get out of their homes.

Adults and teens 13 years of age and older will assemble as many meals as possible, while younger children will make cards for the recipients. Paper, crayons and stickers will be provided.

To make this event a success we will need not only volunteers to help assemble the meals, but also people willing to provide either a protein, starch or vegetable that would serve 12 people.   The H&W Ministry will provide five cooked turkeys, which were donated to the parish, as well as a few other proteins.

Please bring your food donations to the PLC on Monday,January 21 from 8 to 10 a.m.
