Scarecrow Festival, Peddler's Village, Sept 16 & 17

The Annual Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, is a weekend of fall family fun including scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment and children’s activities. Vote for your favorites in the Scarecrow Competition & Display! The Festival Hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. both days. 

While you're enjoying the Festival, stroll around the Village to see the Scarecrow Competition and Display, showcasing more than 100 creative and colorful scarecrows. The Scarecrows are on outdoor display from Monday, September 11 through Sunday, October 29. The public is invited to vote for the winners for the first three weeks of the contest. Ballots are available in all shops, Hospitality Center at the Cock ‘n Bull, Giggleberry Fair, and Buttonwood Grill. Click here to register for a scarecrow workshop!

After nearly six months of  construction T. Foster & Co., Fine Jewelers is opening its doors to the public in their newly renovated location at 7 W. Afton Avenue, on September 16, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. during the Harvest Day Festival in Yardley. The open house will include a signature cocktail and hors d’oeuvres, and an outstanding
performance from the Princeton Girlchoir. The Princeton Girlchoir will perform tent side from 3:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

World-Renowned Artist to Recreate Washington’s River Crossing using Giant “Water Shield”

The public is invited to witness a free, once-in-a-lifetime artistic rendering of George Washington’s daring crossing of the Delaware River on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA).

Beginning shortly after 7 p.m., world-renowned Swiss artist Gerry Hofstetter and his team of lighting experts will project an array of images onto an 80-by-30-foot “water shield” created by a pump that will be carried out into the river aboard one of the park’s Durham boats. This giant curtain of water will last for approximately one hour and music will accompany the show. Spectators may bring their own blankets and chairs to watch from the riverbank.
