Canal Walk, Friends of the Delaware Canal

We have updated our Annual Canal Walk to make it more enjoyable for today’s towpath travelers. This year, we will divide the walk into sections based on the four seasons. Enjoy the diverse flora and fauna that change with the calendar throughout the year. On our upcoming series of walks, we will travel from north to south from Easton to Erwinna.

Mueller’s Kitchen and General Store to Ringing Rocks Trailhead – One-way walk with carpooling – 6.5 miles – 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Our walk begins at Mueller’s and will take us through Riegelsville, where we will explore the town’s history and learn about the Roebling Bridge.

McCarter Theatre Costume Sale

From beautifully crafted period pieces to whimsical fantasy looks, McCarter Theatre Center's Costume Sale offers the public a rare opportunity to own a piece of theatrical history. Running May 16 through May 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, the sale will take place at 755 Alexander Road in Princeton.

Costumes, shoes, and accessories featured in McCarter productions—ranging from new to heavily distressed—will be available for purchase, with all items priced at $25 or less. Whether you're a teacher outfitting a classroom, a performer building a costume closet, or a collector seeking one-of-a-kind treasures, this is a unique chance to take home pieces that once graced the McCarter stage.

Payment will be accepted by cash, check, or credit card. As a special bonus, on the final day of the sale (Saturday, May 18), educators may purchase costumes by the bagful for just $5 per bag. Please use the "auto entrance" and enter through the double doors at the back of the parking lot.

"The Apple Boys", Bucks County Playhouse

Step back in time to Gilded Age Coney Island with a fast-paced new musical comedy, "The Apple Boys." Jack Chapman III, grandson of Johnny Appleseed, rallies a colorful cast of characters—including the founder of Nathan's Famous Hotdogs and the world's strongest man—to save his family's struggling apple orchard. Featuring an inventive score with tight vocal harmonies, "The Apple Boys" is a boisterous show that will leave you cheering for the underdogs and celebrating the joys of friendship.

"The Apple Boys" will run from May 2 through May 25 and will play the following schedule: Tuesday through Friday evenings at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 1:30 pm. The Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey is delighted to announce its upcoming concert in the Musician's Choice Chamber Music Series, "Wind and Wood: Music for Flute, Strings, Piano, and Percussion," scheduled for Sunday, May 18th at 3:00 PM at the 1867 Sanctuary, 101 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ. Led by distinguished flutist Lish Lindsay, the concert will showcase a captivating selection of pieces performed by talented musicians including Artem Tenkeli (Piano), Alan Amira (Cello), and Randall Rudolph (Percussion). The program features a variety of works highlighting the rich textures and expressive capabilities of this eclectic ensemble, including a special composition by former CPNJ Music Director, Dan Spalding.
