"The Apple Boys", Bucks County Playhouse

Jack Chapman III, grandson of Johnny Appleseed, rallies a colorful cast of characters—including the founder of Nathan's Famous Hotdogs and the world's strongest man—to save his family's struggling apple orchard. Featuring an inventive score with tight vocal harmonies, "The Apple Boys" is a boisterous show that will leave you cheering for the underdogs and celebrating the joys of friendship. "The Apple Boys" will run from May 2 through May 25 and will play the following schedule: Tuesday through Friday evenings at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 1:30 pm. Laura Beard has immersed herself into the world of birds in her latest exhibit "Plume", at Artworks Trenton in Trenton, New Jersey from May 6 through June 6. Ranging from realistic to abstract, whimsical to fantastical, her artwork invites the audience to consider birds differently and reflect on their presence and influence on our human world. Her art has been featured in many regional exhibits and she has won awards from the New Jersey Watercolor Society and the Ellarslie Open at Trenton City Museum. She is proud to be a member of Artworks Trenton, The Garden State Watercolor Society, the New Jersey Watercolor Society, and Artists of Yardley. "Plume" will be on view at Artworks Trenton from May 6th – June 6th with a reception on May 10 th , from 6pm – 8pm. Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Running time: One hour Open for all ages!
