Sunday March 23, 2025
La Fiocco, the Bucks County baroque ensemble, continues its 2024-2025 season with Handel’s London. With its thriving music scene, 18th-century London was a haven for native and foreign-born musicians. Handel, however, was the undisputed genius, respected by friend and foe alike. This program of solo pieces, trio sonatas, concertos, and overtures, recreates a salon in the age of Handel and the first three King Georges, and features works by Handel, Thomas Arne, James Oswald, Johann Christoph Pepusch, Elizabetta de Gambarini, Michael Christian Festing, and William Corbett. Tickets are $25 general admission in advance online at lafiocco.org, or $30 at the door, cash or check only. Student tickets are $10, and children 12 and under are free.
