The Crafts in the Meadow Fall Invitational Craft Show is a fine art and craft event showcasing excellence in craftsmanship alongside a festive weekend of live music, performing arts, and refreshments. There will be over 130 fine artisans, demonstrations, live music, great food …. There’s lots for the kids to enjoy too! October 19 & 20, 2024 Online ticket sales at 50% discount will begin in June 2024. After October 2nd, tickets will be $10 per person at the gate (Children under 12 are free). Newtown Library's Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Enjoy a fun-filled scavenger hunt for all ages! Join family and friends on a Halloween hunt taking you through beautiful Newtown Borough! Teams receive their packet via email at 9 am on Saturday, 10/19. The packet includes two lists of items to find and photograph, including 10 “Pumpkin” locations in Newtown. To compete for prizes, turn in your packet at Starbucks on State St. at 2pm on Sunday, 10/20. The 3 teams that find the most items win prizes! Goodie bags will be given at the judging to all children ages 0-13. A ll proceeds benefit the Newtown Library Company.

The Mountain Goats, is an indie folk band founded by singer-songwriter John Darnielle. Originally a solo project for Darnielle, the band has evolved to include various collaborators such as bassist Peter Hughes, drummer Jon Wurster, and multi-instrumentalist Matt Douglas. In the 1990s, they gained attention for their low-fidelity recordings made on a cassette deck, releasing music on cassette and vinyl.
