Haunted Hustle 5K - Benefit for NR2F1 Foundation

The Newtown Haunted Hustle 5K is a scenic run (or walk) through historic Newtown Borough, PA. Race begins and ends at 30 N Chancellor Street (Chancellor Building parking lot). Locals and visitors are strongly encouraged to wear their best or spookiest costumes and festive Halloween gear. Participants will receive a finisher medal (first 250) and a Haunted Hustle T-shirt. Prizes for top 3 male and female racers. Costume prizes as well! Professional timing provided by Pretzel City Sports. Race is USATF certified. The event is rain or shine. All runners/walkers must complete the course by 10 AM. No refunds available. Follow @newtownhauntedhustle5k on Instagram. Be prepared for a SPOOKTACULAR 5K! Bib/T-shirt pick up required on 10/17 (Thursday) & 10/18 (Friday) at Second Sin Brewing 5-7 PM (17 N. State St., Newtown, PA).

ALL proceeds from this event will benefit the NR2F1 Foundation (nr2f1.org) which empowers families and individuals with rare NR2F1 variants through education, advocacy and research. This is an ultra rare genetic disorder characterized by autistic features, intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, and more. Parking: Limited parking on-site. Arrive early! S. Snipes Farmers Market

Come to the Big Red Barn on Snipes Farm to buy our organic produce, plants, and other products every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Visit our animals: chickens, ducks, goats, bunnies and more! Our vegetables are certified organic, which means we use no GMO, synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. We also carry local honey made by the bees here at Snipes Farm bee hives. We have pure maple syrup from Journey's End farm, fruit butters, and whatever seasonal herbs are being harvested.  

We also have CBD products made from hemp organically grown on Snipes Farm and herbal products from Heart of the Moon Herbs grown by our very own herbalist.

Dedication and Award Ceremony - Revolutionary War Burial Site

The Washington Crossing Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (WCDAR)(DAR) will dedicate a memorial bench erected in the Langhorne Borough Revolutionary War Burial Site at 10 AM on October 19, 2024, and present the DAR "Excellence in Historic Preservation Certificate and Medal" to the Langhorne Borough in gratitude for their dedication in saving this hallowed ground.

Coanchor of NBC's Today and Emmy-award-winning journalist Al Roker is coming to Doylestown, PA, on Saturday, October 19th at 7:00 pm as part of his book tour for Al Roker’s Recipes to Live By: Easy, Memory-Making Family Dishes for Every Occasion. Al will be joined by his daughter and co-author Courtney Roker Laga, interviewed by author and sports columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer Mike Sielski.
