Guided Bird Walk, Washington Crossing Historic Park

Mornings are your best opportunity to experience the thrilling world of birdwatching and listening! Join the park naturalist for a slowly guided walk as we look and listen for migratory avian friends. Topics such as basic bird identification through sound and sight will be discussed. Binoculars can be available upon request, but participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own. Washington Crossing Historic Park sits in a unique bird habitat crossroads. Experience your park and home in a way that you may never have before, through wildlife observation.

Waite will break down what the Electoral College is, how it impacts elections, and why it remains a topic of debate. Attendees are encouraged to bring their most pressing questions about the Electoral College for an interactive discussion during the Q&A session. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Omega Zeta Omega Chapter, and the NAACP Bucks County Branch co-host the event. Representing a continued commitment to civic engagement and social justice, these organizations are proud to present this educational forum to the community. The Lost Covered Bridges of the Delaware River, Delaware River Greenway Partnership

Join us on October 16th at 7:30 PM as Scott Bomboy takes us on a virtual tour of the lost covered bridges of the Delaware River. The Delaware River in Bucks County was one of the birthplaces of covered bridge building in America. But the last wooden structure spanning the river was demolished in 1945. What happened to the 11 great toll bridges that once connected Pennsylvania and New Jersey? Join local historian R. Scott Bomboy for a look at rare photographs of the bridges and hear the fascinating stories connected with them.
