Delaware River Kayak – New Kayakers Only, Washington Crossing Historic Park

Kayak trips at WCHP are very popular. Please only register for this kayak trip if you previously have not had the opportunity to participate in a river trip this summer season. Team up for a fun paddle down the historic Delaware River! After an on-land strategy and safety session, participants will launch from the northernmost point of Washington Crossing Historic Park and kayak 5 miles to the Visitor Center.

This program is FREE and all equipment will be provided. Space is limited and registration is required. Participants must be 12 years or older. Register online.


Art Opening, 2024 Bucks County Wine and Art Trail Exhibition

The Arts and Communication Department of Bucks County Community College is pleased to announce that the 2024 Bucks County Wine and Art Trail Exhibition organized by the Arts and Cultural Council of Bucks County in partnership with Visit Bucks County will be presented at Hicks Art Center Gallery from September 25 to October 27, 2024. The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, October 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. to meet the participating artists and sample wines from the vineyards featured in the artworks. Must be at least 21 years old to sample wines.

Opening Reception, Artwork from Ten Countries, Art at Kings Oaks

Art at Kings Oaks, an artist-led group exhibition, returns to an historic farm near Newtown, Pennsylvania this October 4 - 20, with a preview on September 30. The exhibition will feature work by 27 artists from across the U.S., Argentina, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Japan, Russia, Scotland, Thailand, and Ukraine. Paintings, drawings, prints, collages, ceramics, sculptures, textiles, and installation art will be on display in two historic farm buildings.

Opening Reception: 6 - 9pm Fri, October 4 (rain date 6 - 9pm, Sat, October 5); Closing Reception: 2 - 5pm Sun, October 20; Gallery Hours: 11am - 5pm, Wed - Sun and by Appointment. Receptions and gallery admittance is free and open to the public. Visitors wishing to preview the collection may reserve tickets for a Preview Party on September 30 on the Kings Oaks website. 60th Anniversary Beneath the Stars Garden Party, Churchville Nature Center

Please join us on Friday, October 4th from 6:30 pm to 9 pm for our 60th Anniversary Garden Party Fundraiser! Gather with us in the gardens, beneath the stars, for an evening of food, wine, music, and fun. A highlight of the evening will be the dedication of Churchville Nature Center's Pleiades Observatory. All are welcome, and registration is required. Tickets: $40 per person $75 per couple
