Earth Day Celebration at Snipes Farm

Celebrate Earth Day on your community farm. All ages are welcome to this great family event on Saturday, April 20 from 9:00 am – Noon.

Join us in our annual celebration of Mother Earth with songs, stories and work parties to protect the farm's natural environment.

Help out with field projects, nature trail maintenance, removal of invasive plants, planting of native trees, and other nature-preservation projects. Young children can help with animal care and spring clean-up in the Children's Garden.

We will meet at the Big Red Barn at 9:00 am. Bring your family, corporate group, congregation or youth group. Bring a picnic lunch and stay a while afterwards.

Snipes Farm is located at 890  W. Bridge Street in Morrisville PA.

In 1981, what began as a showcase for the local art scene, has evolved into a nationally recognized, award-winning event. Enjoy two-days, filled with hand-crafted art, jewelry, home goods, a variety of delectable food, music, and fun for the whole family! What is Shad? Each spring the Delaware River in Lambertville, NJ is home to returning Shad making their way back from the Atlantic Ocean to spawn before returning to the ocean. Local residents can be found fishing for Shad on Lewis Island, the only Shad fishery left on the Delaware River. Winner of “Best Event” by the Bucks County Herald, ShadFest™ 2024 marks 41 years of festivals. Come see what it’s all about and why Lambertville was named “Best Destination 2023” by Jersey’s Best Magazine.

Wheat and Sheep Day

Wheat and Sheep Day 2024
Watch as the Thompson-Neely sheep are shorn of their wool and tour the grist mill at this family friendly event. This limited event will include a trip to the barn for a hand shearing presentation as well as period demonstrations and tours of our historic Grist Mill. From there, follow the Colonial process of washing and carding the wool and spinning it into yarn. You’ll also get a take-home activity kit, full of Colonial crafts! Pre-registration is required. This “pay what you wish” event is limited to 150 people total, the recommended fee is $7 per person.

Staff member, Deborah Pomroy, has been designing florals for over 35 years.  After owning her own floral shop for 17 years, Deborah moved on to wedding floral design at Fabufloras in Philadelphia.  She is an Adjunct Professor at Mercer County Community College where she teaches the Floral Design program classes.  She has a BS In Ornamental Horticulture (Floriculture emphasis) with a Business minor from Delaware Valley University.

Danny DeGennaro Memorial Foundation has changed the lives of hundreds of music and art students by creating scholarships and mentoring. This year we will honor several of the past and present winners by showcasing their bands on the main stage. Look for exciting entertainment with many special guest. Several of the acts will pay tribute to Danny Degennaro's music by treating us to their renditions of his original songs.
