Open House, The Bridge Academy

The Bridge Academy is a 501c3 not for profit specialized school for students with language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit disorder. Open Houses are held monthly for parents and professionals who wish to obtain more information regarding The Bridge Academy for a possible placement or referral for a child. Information will be presented regarding The Bridge Academy curriculum, the admissions process, a tour of the school, as well as the opportunity to ask questions. Cultural Streaming Series. Take in recorded performances of leading classical and Jazz artists, ensembles, and orchestras from around the world in the comfort of the Zlock Performing Arts Center. Enjoy a diversity of culture without the high price tag! Meet a thrilling trio on the stage of the Jazz à Vienne festival: bass king Marcus Miller, saxophone titan Wayne Shorter, and pianist virtuoso Herbier Hancock gather in honor of their fellow jazz legend Miles Davis. Sean Jones and Sean Rickman (a regular of Steve Coleman's ensembles), complete the picture in a program that features the greatest works of the jazz master. A surprise guest makes an appearance to end this concert in fireworks! Miller was a regular of Davis's band all along the eighties, his composing, playing, and producing work on Davis's Tutu album has solidified his space in the pantheon of jazz, while Shorter and Hancock both partnered the illustrious trumpeter during the sixties and seventies, featuring in his first "electric" albums. 60 min.
