Newtown Shamrock Shuffle 5K & Festival

Join us on March 11th for the seventh annual Newtown Shamrock Shuffle 5k..because everyone is a little bit Irish on St. Patrick's Day! This Shamrock Shuffle offers more than your typical 5K. Once you finish running through historic Newtown, we invite you to keep the party going! In lieu of the Irish Festival this year we are beginning a Shuffle through Newtown where participating bars, restaurants, and shops will be offering specials and giveaways. More details to be announced. All 5k participants will receive a custom finisher medal and quality finisher shirt! Our loved race course through historic Newtown will also remain the same as previous years. Time Limit- All participants must maintain a 20 minute per mile pace (a speed walking pace) and be able to complete the course within 60 minutes or less of crossing the start line. 6th & 7th Grade Practice Test and 8th Grade Entrance Test, Villa Joseph Marie High School

All students interested in attending Villa Joseph Marie are encouraged to take the 6th & 7th Grade Practice Test. While this is certainly not mandatory, it helps many students to become comfortable with the test and gain an understanding of where their strengths and weaknesses lie. It is important to note that the practice test is simply that—practice—and the results will not be considered if the student applies for admission as an eighth grader. All students applying for admission to Villa Joseph Marie must take the Entrance/Scholarship Examination while in 8th grade to be considered. Did you miss our fall testing dates? No problem! Summer Camp Open House, George School

Established in 1977, our program focuses on age-appropriate games and activities to promote friendship and fun. Children practice skills—like working with others, waiting their turn, and handling success, failure, and frustration—in an environment where they are encouraged by a supportive and loving staff. Located on the beautiful 240-acre George School campus, GSDC campers have access to athletic fields, tennis courts, a state-of-art fitness and athletics center, and so much more.
