Sunday October 31, 2021
12:00 PM

Meet Up for Carve-O-Thon
When: Sunday, October 31, 2021 12 – 3 PM+
Where: The “PECO lot” at the corner of Fuld Ave. and Morgan Ave. in Yardley Borough’s Rivermawr neighborhood. Parking is on the grass at the PECO Lot, as well as one side of Morgan Avenue.

The Carve-O-Thon™ is a great family-friendly activity where we gather to carve well over 300 Jack-O-Lanterns in about 3 hours! Bring your tools if you have them and we invite you to bring a large pumpkin, or carve one of ours! Other things to know:

We supply carving tools, tents, tables, and tarps for folks who come to carve

We provide beverages and snacks free to participants

There is a porta-potty on site

Lots of Rain/Severe Weather?
Please note that the Carve-O-Thon occurs under virtually all weather conditions.
There is a huge tent or two to protect folks from rain, but please dress and prepare accordingly for precipitation and temperature!  Waterproof boots are a good idea if it looks like a rainy day. Sometimes things get messy, but it’s all part of the fun!  If there is a true weather emergency (such as flooding or a hurricane) we will notify the public

Canal O Ween Jack-O-Lantern Stroll

Sunday October 31, 2021
5:00 PM

The Stroll will kick off on Sunday, October 31st, and go through Saturday, November 6th.
Where: The Delaware Canal Towpath, leading north from the East Afton Avenue Bridge to the end of the paved canal road (North Edgewater Avenue), approximately 1/4 mile. Official Stroll parking is on the grass at the PECO Lot (Corner of Morgan and Fuld), as well as one side of Morgan Avenue.  However, feel free to make a nice evening of it by parking in downtown Yardley, having some dinner or drinks, and then walking it off a few blocks away at the Jack-O-Lantern Stroll!

Imagine strolling along the beautiful Delaware Canal through the historic Borough of Yardley, PA on a crisp fall day around Halloween. As dusk settles in, hundreds of carved Jack-O-Lanterns flickering with warm light guide your way forward for over a quarter of a mile. It’s an old-fashioned, low-tech, magical way to celebrate Halloween. Join us!

Night comes quickly and it gets very dark. A couple of tips to make your experience more pleasant:

Please lock your cars behind you

Wear comfortable shoes (waterproof if raining!)

And if you wish to bring a flashlight, please cover it with red cellophane. This provides adequate light without disrupting the magical nighttime experience of the glowing Jack-O-Lanterns.
