10:00 AM

The New Hope Automobile Show Road Rally kicks off at 10:00 am Sunday, August 1, 2021 from the New Hope-Solebury High School, 180 West Bridge Street, New Hope, PA. This lead-in to The New Hope Automobile Show is sponsored by Solebury Parks and Recreation. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 a.m. to receive instructions.

Cars of all kinds are welcome to participate. Of course, being The New Hope Automobile Show we encourage people to bring their classic cars, but your everyday car will work just fine.

Bring along a friend or friends who can help you answer a few silly questions. Pencils and a clipboard might be a good idea too. Scores will be based solely on correct answers to the questions.

Cost is $50 per car. Pre-register to assure your place in the rally at www.newhopeautoshow.com/every-car-road-rally/,  as we must limit the number of cars to 50.

Questions? Call 215-862-5665, or email us at autoshowinfo@newhopesolebury-ca.org, or visit www.newhopeautoshow.com.

1:30 PM - 4:00 PM

TYROLEAN TRAVERSE (6- 12 yrs.)  Sunday August 1, 1:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Tyrolean Traverse is a mountain rescue technique for crossing gorges and canyons on a horizontally suspended rope.

In this case, willing (or not) participants will be pulling themselves across the Nature Center's vernal pond infested with killer frogs and tadpoles (just kidding) and genuine New Jersey crocodiles. The event will be ongoing throughout the afternoon, weather permitting. Come prepared to get wet, just in case.

This is a kid-event however, adult human guinea pigs will be considered if they're not too heavy. Just come into the Nature Center and request the traverse.

Free! All programs will initially meet at the Nature Center unless otherwise indicated. Attendance is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In the event of inclement weather, some programs might be canceled.
