Lecture- Soldiers of Color in George Washington's Army

Virtual lecture through Zoom, hosted by Washington Crossing Historic Park-
Toward the end of the Revolutionary War, between 10 and 25 percent of Washington’s army consisted of soldiers of color. For these men, the Revolutionary War was actually two wars: while the country fought for its existence, Black soldiers struggled for their own freedom. And they had to choose a side.

Reenactor Noah Lewis (above), who portrays artillerist Edward “Ned” Hector, will lead this free virtual lecture. The lecture portion will last for about 45 minutes, and questions will be taken from the audience after the lecture. REGISTER.

We're so excited to be hosting a virtual market just in time for Valentine's Day!

This market will be hosted on Facebook beginning Friday, February 5th at 8pm through Sunday, February 7th at 9pm, where you can shop from all of the vendors in one place. We will be posting the participating vendors in this event daily leading up to the virtual market. Shoppers: The Facebook group link to shop will not be made public until the day of the event! Members already in the group were from the previous virtual market held, but don't worry, we will accept you into the group when the event is live!
