Pennsbury Student Work at Artists of Yardley

The AOY Art Center, a Pennsbury Partner, will host the fourth annual gallery show of adjudicated Pennsbury student work on two weekends.

A wide variety of student work in many different media will be exhibited, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, and digital photography. The public is invited to see the art Saturday and Sunday, January 25-26th, and the following weekend, February 1st-2nd. Gallery hours on the weekends are 12:00-5:00 p.m. 

AOY Art Center is located on Patterson Farm at 949 Mirror Lake Road in Yardley, Lower Makefield Township

Interview of Candidates for Newtown Board of Supervisors

The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors will be holding special meetings on January 23, January 24, and January 25, 2020 (IF NECESSARY) at 5:00 PM, in the Public meeting room of the administration building, 100 Municipal Drive, Newtown PA 18940, to interview candidates and appoint a new member of the Board of Supervisors to fill the current vacancy.

The Supervisors serve on a part-time basis. They enact Ordinances and Resolutions, issue Proclamations, approve land development plans and other land use applications, approve annual budgets and all expenditures, levy taxes, affirm hiring and termination of Township employees, make appointments to dozens of advisory boards, committees, commissions and task forces which serve the Township.

On January 25th at 7:30 the Germantown Flute Trio will bring their unique brand of humor and classical music by 3 talented flutists. The Germantown Flute Ensemble is made up of a core trio whose members include Katie Ambacher, Anne Levinson and Elivi Varga. Performing on Piccolo, C flute, Alto flute and Bass flute, concerts by the Germantown Flute Ensemble are varied as well as educational, and include repertoire of music from the 1700s to the present.
