Victorian Tea Tasting on Grundy Museum's South Lawn

Join us Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Grundy Museum, 610 Radcliffe Street, for a Victorian Tea Tasting on the South Lawn with noted tea specialist Deborah Raab of Trenton, NJ, owner of Tea-For-All, an online tea store. Starting at 11:00 am, the program begins with a brief history of tea from the Colonial to Victorian eras and touches on tea etiquette and proper tea attire. It continues with a variety of teas served in fine china for guests to sample, and a light repast of tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts catered by Bristol's Susan Duffy Arroyo, a Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College graduate. Guests are encouraged to wear their most beautiful hat to the occasion for prizes. Following the tasting, everyone is invited to take docent-led tours of the Grundy Museum to learn more about the Victorian home of Senator Joseph R. Grundy and his sister Margaret. Open to persons 18-plus, register for this free, rain-or-shine outdoor event at, or by calling the Library at 215.788.7891. 2 and 8pm

August 9 - September 7

Based on a true-story, Always … Patsy Cline is a showcase of 27 songs including “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces” and many more! After hearing Cline on the radio in 1957, housewife Louise Seger became an immediate, avid fan. A chance meeting at a concert brought them face to face. Over a pot of coffee, and through their subsequent letters, they forged a bond that would last until Cline’s tragic death in 1963. Always … Patsy Cline is a valentine to their friendship and a tribute to a great American music icon.
