NBA March Breakfast Meeting

The Newtown Business Association will hold its March Member Breakfast meeting on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 7:30 to 9:00 am at the Congregation Brothers of Israel, at 530 Washington Crossing Road in Newtown.  The meeting is sponsored by All-Time Self Storage; the speaker will be Tony Moore from S.C.O.R.E., who will speak on S.C.O.R.E.’s business counseling services. 

The Breakfast is free to NBA Members and first-time guests.  Guests are welcome to come to a breakfast meeting to see what NBA is all about.   Attendees are asked to register online for this event, at www.NewtownBA.org, to ensure adequate breakfast fare.    Come hear all about what is happening in the Newtown Business Association and how it can help your business.  The meeting starts promptly at 7:30 am and wraps up at 9:00 am.  The mission of the NBA is to promote Newtown as a great place to live, work, shop and do business, thereby enhancing the economic vitality of the community for member businesses through networking, education, community involvement and coop advertising opportunities. 


Vitamin D, Diet and Your Health - Free Nutrition Event

Jill Kwasny, MS, RDN will address factors that impact on vitamin D levels, discuss dietary sources of vitamin D and provide practical tips to include more high vitamin D foods in your daily routine.

The class will be held at the McCaffrey’s Market in Yardley located in the Edgewood Village Shopping Center at 635 Heacock Road in the upstairs bistro from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Using an Instant Pot

Gone are the scary pressure cookers of our parents' time.  In this one-night class, we'll prepare several recipes that will demonstrate how quick and easy and safe it is to use a pressure cooker.  Instant Pots are very versatile, allowing you to also use as a slow cooker, rice cooker, and more!  This program will focus on the ease of use and speed of pressure cooking.  Bring a beverage and an appetite! Class to be held at Newtown Middle School.

*A materials fee of $10 is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Bookin' for Lookin's Screening of the Dogumentary, "Pick of the Litter"

Ever wonder where guide dogs come from? Wait no further! 

Bookin' for Lookin' Foundation is sponsoring a screening of the dogumentary Pick of the Litter on Thursday, March 28 at 7 PM. 

Admission is $15 at the door.

This movie follows five spirited puppies from the moment they are born through their adventurous journey to becoming guide dogs. Bring your entire family to see how important these amazing dogs are and how they empower the lives of those who are visually impaired and blind. 

Guests will get to personally meet some puppy raisers that evening as well as see some guide dogs in action! In addition, all guests will receive a free bag of popcorn.
